The company Prabos, based at the foothills of the White Carpathians in the town of Slavičín, is the largest Czech manufacturer of outdoor footwear, work and safety footwear, emergency footwear and also footwear for uniformed units. The company's tradition dates back to 1860.

For many years, Prabos “Uniform” footwear has been used by the Czech Army, the Police of the Czech Republic, the Czech Fire and Rescue Service and other uniformed units. For many years, foreign customers have included the German Bundeswehr, the Armies of Latvia and Lithuania, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
