Czech Armed Forces medium-term procurement needs
The Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic is planning a number of
additional acquisition projects for all types of troops.
Ground forces
- Tracked infantry fighting vehicles
- Artillery and self-propelled mortars
- Off-road trucks and passenger vehicles (replacement for UAZ and LR)
- Command-staff and communication vehicles
- Battle tanks (replacement for T-72 M4 cz, after 2025)
- Means of individual ballistic protection
Air force
- Combat and transport helicopters
- Aircraft (replacement for Challenger and JAK 40, CASA – 2 pcs)
- Mobile 3D radars
- Supersonic aircraft (purchase decision after 2025)
- Replacement of anti-aircraft missile systems
- Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV)
Logistics
- Purchase of all kinds of materials for newly established units (parachute regiment, logistics units, and cyber headquarters)
- Transport technology with increased ballistic protection
- Containerization
- Equipment, weaponry and ammunition
