Trade Fairs TECHAGRO, SILVA REGINA and BIOMASA are moved, will be held in the spring of 2021

The company Veletrhy Brno, in agreement with partnership industry associations, decided to reschedule agricultural equipment trade fair exhibitions to 2021. All the interested parties agreed that reached solution would be the most appropriate response to eliminate the economic risk associated with the possible ban on large public events. The new term of the trade fair exhibition will be 11 – 15 April 2021.

The decision was taken at the meeting of the trade fair committee, grouping together the most important industry associations and representatives of the company Veletrhy Brno. Trade fair organizers respond to the unclear situation and the fact that guarantee can not be currently provided that the organization of public social events will not be limited in the weeks to come.

“We address the issue professionally and with the management perspective. We do not want to lose trust of our customers – exhibitors and visitors – in this uncertain situation. Though from today’s perspective the trade fair is feasible, and nobody bans such an event, the situation may be completely different a few days later. Therefore, we must eliminate all incurring costs and risks now, in the stage of practical preparation of the trade fair exhibition. Rescheduling of the trade fair to the odd years is also important considering the terms of other European trade fairs,“ highlighted Mr. Jiří Kuliš, CEO of Veletrhy Brno.

“We understand adopted measures as the best possible ones. In light of the current social situation, the event entails too high economic as well as reputation risk. Consequently, we strive to behave very respectfully toward all clients, foreign and domestic partners and our own colleagues and, also, to minimize losses suffered from the project realization. At the same time, we want to assure agriculture broad public that we plan to organize the event in the new term in the standard scope,“ commented outcomes from the meeting Mr. Tomáš Kvapil, the chairperson of the committee of Sdružení dovozců zemědělské techniky (Agriculture Machinery Import Association).

Mr. Dušan Benža, the director of the secretariat of Asociace zemědělské a lesnické techniky A.ZET (Agricultural and Forestry Machinery Association A.ZET), added: “Given the current uncertain situation, when traveling across Europe has been restricted, there is no certainty of possibility to organize public social events and conventions with larger audience; in effort to eliminate potential losses as well as costs not yet incurred, it has been agreed to organize the trade fair in spring next year. The trade fair can not be held in the considered alternative terms in May and June because of the clash with agrotechnical processes. Both associations expressed their interest in the further continuation of the project.”

Veletrhy Brno, in cooperation with the industry associations, informed all exhibitors of their decision in writing on Thursday evening, March 5. The company will discuss further actions with the relevant entities individually, information for visitors planning to attend the trade fair will be published at the web sites next week.

The company TERINVEST, responsible for the organization of the international trade fair Amper, made a similar decision as the company Veletrhy Brno in case of the trade fair TECHAGRO. Also in this particular case, the aim is to eliminate the risk of economic losses both for exhibitors and organizer.

“We assure the general public that already on-going exhibitions Motosalon and Prodítě have been reported and approved by the regional public health office we are in touch with. In principle, the attendance rate of both events corresponds to the daily attendance rate of shopping centers. Thus, there is no reason to avoid already on-going or planned events,“ said Mr. Jiří Kuliš, CEO of Veletrhy Brno.
