Brief characteristics of the exhibit

XPlanar is a new type of drive system that combines the individual arrangement of planar tiles with the ability to position segments levitating over these tiles in multiple trajectories. The planar drive significantly simplifies the design of the machines and increases their flexibility. Thanks to the possibility of independent positioning of each segment, it is possible, for example, to easily divide the material flow or individually adapt the production process. The segments can move horizontally, vertically, upside down or rotate completely noiselessly and without friction in two directions at speeds of up to 4 m / s with 2G acceleration and repeatable positioning accuracy of 50 μm. XPlanar can replace robots or other complex devices. In addition, the non-contact movement eliminates mechanical wear and contamination.
