Die Internationale Fachmesse für Abwehr- und Sicherheitstechnik IDET ist eine bedeutende Schau der Verteidigungs- und Sicherheitstechnologien in Mitteleuropa mit hohem Anteil internationaler Aussteller und Fachbesucher. Konzipiert als Proexport-Plattform für die tschechische Verteidigungs- und Sicherheitsindustrie erfreut sich der Messeverbund starker Unterstützung und Präsenz bedeutender Vertreter von Politik und Militär der Tschechischen Republik. Größte Aussteller sind das Verteidigungsministerium der Tschechischen Republik und die Armee der Tschechischen Republik. Besucht wird die Messe von ausländischen Armeedelegationen und für Ausrüstung zuständigen Vertretern ausländischer Verteidigungsministerien aus 20 Ländern der ganzen Welt.

Zeitgleich mit der IDET finden auch die Internationale Fachmesse für Brandschutztechnik PYROS und die Internationale Fachmesse für Sicherheitstechnik ISET statt.

Am 29. und 30. 5. 2019 ist der Zutritt zu den Messen IDET/PYROS/ISET nur Personen ab 16 Jahren gestattet.
