The next edition of the BIOMASS Trade Fair for Renewable Sources of Energy in Agriculture and Forestry will be held from 8 to 12 April 2018 at the Brno Exhibition Centre. Concurrently will take place the SILVA REGINA International Forestry and Hunting Fair and the TECHAGRO International Agricultural Equipment Trade Fair. Visitors will find the BIOMASS fair in Hall Z and its adjacent open areas, the SILVA REGINA fair will located in the same hall. Therefore, Hall Z and its adjacent open areas will host displays focusing mainly on the processing and energy use of timber. Exhibitors have already signed up with technologies focusing on the use of waste from animal breeding  or on composting.

It is already possible to introduce some traditional exhibitors: DŘEVO-PRODUKT comes with timber processing technologies, among others it is a representative of the company POSCH, leader in the field of firewood processing machines. At their display we will find splitting machines, cutting saws, equipment for handling logs, crushing or debarking. In Hall Z, several manufacturers – such as VIADRUS, ROJEK, ATMOS, Kovarson and Heizomat – will present boilers fuelled by biomass. Other exhibitors come up with agripellet production technologies. These machines produce pellets from green waste and fast-renewable natural sources and are primarily intended for farmers. Exhibitors have also signed up with technologies for biogas stations, composting or chipping.

Trade Fairs Brno also prepares with its partner organizations a programme for eighth and ninth grade students, which is primarily focused on the promotion of agriculture, but thanks to the displays and programme of the BIOMASS fair it will also help acquaint the young generation with the use of biomass, possibilities of obtaining energy from local sources and with circular economy principles.
