MOTOSALON postponed to 2023. the 2022 season will start with MOTOWEEKEND

The MOTOSALON show traditionally opens the bikers' season. It is held regularly in early spring and brings great inspiration to people interested in buying a motorcycle or related gear. Unfortunately, MOTOSALON will not take place this year. The uncertain development of the pandemic situation was topped up by the disruption of production and supply chains, which caused delays in deliveries, including the launch of motorcycle innovation on the market. Therefore, Trade Fairs Brno as its organizer, together with the Car Importers Association and other partners decided to stop the preparations for the event in 2022. However, the season will start with MOTOWEEKEND, which will welcome fans of motorcycles and accessories from 8 to 10 April 2022! MOTOSALON will be back in its traditional shape in 2023.

MOTOSALON cannot be done as parts and new products are missing

"Our industry is one of the worst hit by component supply outages, which is generally reflected in delays in the distribution of new motorbikes. In most cases, importers face the absence of new products for the start of the season and delays in motorcycle deliveries in general," says Josef Pokorný, Secretary of the Car Importers Association, on behalf of the motorcycle section.

"In addition, according to what they say, exhibitors feel insecure due to the early date at the beginning of March, which is why we decided to approach the situation as responsibly as possible. We see MOTOSALON as a representative show of motorcycle manufacturers and importers, and motorcycle equipment. For next year, together with the Car Importers Association, we are planning to organize MOTOSALON in the form that everyone knows," explains Tomáš Moravec, CEO of Trade Fairs Brno.

The fact that the same cancellations of sectoral expos for similar reasons occur abroad also contributed to this decision. A random example may be Moto Austria.

MOTOWEEKEND will not replace MOTOSALON in its entire extent, but enables purchase of equipment

"We see a huge interest from motorbike fans and enthusiasts. Therefore, we decided to organize an experiential meeting of fans who will be able to complete their equipment and try out some types of motorbikes on a later date in April," Petr Maliňák, director of the MOTOSALON trade fair, outlined the difference.

MOTOWEEKEND – motorbikes, equipment, and test drives

The three-day event will be a meeting of enthusiasts and lovers of motorcycles and everything that goes with it. At Motoweekend, of course, there will be motorcycles, complemented by a section of popular original modifications. There will also be a rich selection of accessories and gear, including special clothing. Visitors can also look forward to an interesting side-line programme. If we add "fancy rides" around Brno and in the expo grounds, motorbike fans really have something to look forward to! We will regularly inform the fans about latest information and news that will be presented during the Motoweekend.

"The extended MOTOWEEKEND will take place on 8 to 10 April, when we already assume to have nice weather and better conditions for all lovers of the single track to meet up," Petr Maliňák finally said to invite all motorcycle fans and not only them.

MOTOSALON will be back in its traditional shape in 2023.
