Fair of renewable energy sources in agriculture and forestry
BIOMASS to showcase sustainable business
The BIOMASS Fair of
Renewable Energy Sources in Agriculture and Forestry will be held at the Brno
Exhibition Centre from 3 to 7 April 2022. Concurrently with it TECHAGRO, which
is one of the largest European agricultural expos, and SILVA REGINA will also
take place. These Brno-based agricultural and forestry fairs will take place in
their traditional schedule from Sunday to Thursday. The main topic of BIOMASS
is the use of biomass in times of climate change and, of course, the use of
biomass for power generation. The themes of climate change and sustainable
management are common to all the three concurrently held events.
Agricultural and forestry equipment will be displayed in most areas of the Brno Exhibition Centre. The BIOMASS fair will be located in Hall Z and its surroundings, most of the exhibits will concern the energy use of wood mass, visitors will also see facilities for the use of agricultural biomass and equipment for biogas plants. Exhibitors of crushers and chippers include, for example, Mouder, Biber, Eko Bandit, while boilers for biomass combustion are exhibited by Petrojet, Atmos or Dřevo-Produkt, to name just some. Concerning biogas plant equipment, visitors will find companies such as EnviTec, agriKomp Bohemia or Schaumann.
The supporting programme of BIOMASS will run at the exhibitors' stands, where machine demonstrations will take place throughout the expo. Lectures on the stage at Hall Z will focus on the use of lower quality wood for energy purposes, parameters for selecting a biomass boiler, possibilities of using bark wood and preparation of energy chips. Presentations discussing boiler efficiency are also being prepared. Another big area on which the supporting programme of BIOMASS focuses is composting. There will be contributions dedicated to the improvement and restoration of soil quality, ensuring the return of organic matter to the soil, the possibilities of composting technologies and the economics of composting plants. The programme is intended both for people interested in the energy use of biomass on a smaller scale, and for representatives of cities and municipalities or production facilities.
The GRAND PRIX exhibit competition is also in the pipeline, handing awards to the best exhibits at BIOMASS. The Brno Agricultural and Forestry Fairs will also welcome trade missions from abroad.
In the upcoming year 2022, best prices for group visits (bus tours) will apply again, providing reduced entrance fee from Sunday to Wednesday, and completely free entry on Thursday. The best option for individual visitors is to purchase tickets on the website.
