Transport Solutions Fair - now as Transport a Logistika
EUROTRANS Interim Final Report
The pilot year of the EUROTRANS fair brought
new business to exhibitors
EUROTRANS
International Transport Fair, whose first edition took place from 8 to 10
October 2013, followed on previous shows AUTOTEC, Transport&Logistics and
the presentation of railway technology held within the MSV International
Engineering Fair. EUROTRANS was located in Hall G2, in the open area H and on
the rail yard adjacent to Hall A. The
fair was attended by 80 exhibitors, of which 32 % were from abroad,
particularly from Poland, Slovakia, China, Germany, Cyprus, Finland, Hungary,
Italy, Austria, Spain, Taiwan and Ukraine. Additional dozens of companies whose
products fall within the range of transport sector, transport facilities and
management of transport systems. attended as part of MSV. The Brno Exhibition Centre
was visited by a preliminary estimate of 60,000 visitors between Tuesday and
Thursday, and a significant portion of them also headed for EUROTRANS.
Transport and logistics were also related to many displays at the MSV International Engineering Fair. The exhibition rail yard presented the company Vitkovice doprava with its solutions utilizing CNG in road and rail transport. Hall A was dedicated to intralogistics and represented, among other, some global brands in this field, such as SSI Schäfer or Pewag. Garage equipment and transport are also part of other MSV fields – drives, hydraulics, air conditioning, tools or welding.
The biggest portion of exhibitors were companies dealing in garage equipment. The fair brought them commercial success not only because of the concurrently running MSV; they managed to achieve a good share of visitors from the car repairs sector. Garage owners also came from Slovakia, which filled with the original vision of a Czech-Slovak trade fair. The supporting program also attracted to the Brno Exhibition Centre experts from the field of logistics. Exhibitors of garage equipment and tire shops made deals not only with garages, but also with companies that have their own facilities for fleet maintenance.
The Mobility of the Future conference attracted
interest of professionals already at its première
The most
important part of the supporting program of EUROTRANS was the conference
Mobility of the Future. It took place in Hall G2, where a conference room was
built directly in the exhibition area. The conference took three days – as well
as the fair itself – and it effectively supported the interest of trade
visitors. Tuesday morning featured a discussion forum titled EURO REGIONAL that
clearly indicated the need for a transport policy whose life does not depend on
personnel changes in the ministries or on election results. A very successful
seminar was the project "Electric Buses for the City" promoted by Jakub
Slavík (proelektrotechniky.cz), when the interest of the participants exceeded
the capacity of the conference room. The same acclaim was met by the Day of
Garage Equipment, during which the prizes for Service of the Year 2013, Car
Mechanic of the Year 2013, Tyre Service of the Year 2013 and Automotive School
of the Year 2013 were awarded. A significant media coverage was given to a
seminar on high-speed lines; important conclusions about the impact of
transport infrastructure on employment and business environment were heard at
the end of the third day of the conference at the seminar "Real Transport Options
in Brno and the South Moravian Region".
The next edition of EUROTRANS is scheduled for 2015.
What they said about the fair:
Hynek
Staněk, senior manager, Business Development Division YUSEN Logistics
We can
establish new working relationships and find customers also from a segment of
the engineering market.
Ing.
Alice Smejkalová, director, MITERAL
We are very
satisfied with this exhibition. It is attended mainly by professionals from
this sector, field, which is very
convenient for us because we can really devote ourselves to potential clients.
Large companies come to us as well as a lot of customers from Slovakia, hence we
are taking home lots of new business contacts. We also invited many existing or
potential customers to the fair to let them see our products in action.
Pavel
Ferdus, owner of the company FERDUS
We consider
this fair as a part of the promotion of our company, and even in the age of the
Internet and other forms of advertising, this option is still very important
for us. It's not just about finding new customers, but also to meet
professional peers, which makes a great sense to us.
Ing.
Václav Lhoták, manager, TECHNOLOGY-GARAGE
Existing
and new customers come here to visit us. A big advantage is that the fair is
connected with MSV. We can take advantage of the fact that engineering
companies also have workshops and garages, thereby we are gaining additional
new contacts and potential customers.
Zdeněk
Šaur, manager, GIA technology
We greatly
appreciate the tradition of the transport theme within a fair here in the Czech
Republic being restored. We are happy that we as a company offering a range of
products for filling stations got an opportunity to publicly present ourselves.
We gained new customers for spare parts for gas stations, but we also agreed
with existing customers and made our display a meeting place for us and
business partners.
Jaromír
Zmek, sales representative, Otto Christ Wash Systems
We see a
meaning in the fair and we go to fairs all around the world. We invite our
existing customers here with whom we will meet.
