URBIS Smart City Fair 2020 has been postponed to early September
Due to the current Europe-wide ban on mass events, including the organisation of trade fairs and conferences, the management of BVV Trade Fairs Brno decided in this emergency situation to postpone the URBIS Smart City Fair to a later date – 2 and 3 September 2020.
BVV Trade Fairs Brno strives to make its decisions in the most responsible way with respect to all participating exhibitors, visitors and partners of the expo. The aim of this measure is to eliminate all risks associated with possible failure to hold the event on its previously scheduled dates. Our decision was made on the basis of discussions with key partners and recommendations by the Regional Sanitation Authority in Brno, as it is impossible to guarantee the ban on holding the events will be cancelled by the originally set date.
"One of the key aspects of this expo is the exchange of experience between representatives of cities and municipalities with Czech and foreign experts. The URBIS Smart City Fair still has the ambition of being an international event attended by representatives of the European Commission, cities and institutions from all over Europe. It is essential that all the requirements for the smooth running of the expo must be met for exhibitors and visitors alike, including the possibility of trouble-free travel,” said Jiří Kuliš, CEO of BVV Trade Fairs Brno.
Our commercial team will contact all exhibitors and partners of the fair in the coming days to inform them of further steps and terms of settlement of liabilities associated with their participation in the expo.
BVV Trade Fairs Brno expresses thanks for your understanding and believes that together we will be able to prepare a standard event on the later date.
