MINERALS BRNO May 2014 - Final Report
In May 2014, the MINERALS BRNO exhibition opened its third decade in terms of the number of its editions. MINERALS BRNO is the meeting point for collectors, a purchasing opportunity for the general public as well as an awareness raising event focusing in on minerals, precious stones and geology.
Basic statistics
30th Minerals Brno exhibition (24th – 25th May 2014) was
attended by a total of 158 exhibitors.
The largest number of exhibitors arrived from the Czech
Republic (113), there was also a large number of
exhibitors from Slovakia, Poland, as well exhibitors coming from Hungary, Germany,
Belgium, India, China,
Romania and Austria. The total number of foreign exhibitors was 45.

BRNO offering
wine tasting
The May Minerals Brno exhibition was held again on the
ground floor of Hall B while its gallery hosted public tasting of wines entered
in the GRAND PRIX VINEX 2014 competition. The Minerals Brno exhibitors had free
access to the wine tasting event and most of them used the opportunity of
spending a pleasant evening at the gallery of Hall B. This liaison was
appreciated by the organisers of GRAND PRIX VINEX.

30th
MINERALS BRNO exhibition was attended by 3011 paying
visitors.
Free admission tickets were distributed, too, and used by 853 visitors
along with invitations to the Grand Prix Vinex event which was used by a total of 778 visitors.
The exhibition was visited by 4,642 people.
The range of products on display included jewels, precious stones, minerals and collectors‘ stones, natural products, fossils, decorations and home accessories. Other items to buy included specialist literature and other mineralogical and geological gear.

In November 2013, the product categories were
introduced along with a list of non-permitted and forbidden exhibits. The exhibits
are also checked during the Minerals Brno exhibition. Thus, Minerals Brno evolves
to become a specialist exhibition.
MINERALS BRNO in 2014 and 2015
The MINERALS BRNO exhibition on the renewed spring
date has proved successful and the exhibition will thus continue to be held
twice a year in the years to come.
November 2014 < br />
The 31st edition of the MINERALS BRNO exhibition will
take place between 15th – 16th November
2014.
During the November edition, the Minerals Brno
exhibition will include again a supporting programme consisting of a supporting
exhibition focusing on the Mineralogical riches of the region of Jesenice.
May 2015
32nd edition of the MINERALS BRNO exhibition will take
place between 23rd – 24th May 2015
The MINERALS BRNO exhibition will take place without any supporting exhibition.
November 2015
33rd edition of the MINERALS BRNO exhibition will take
place between 13th – 14th November 2015
We look forward to seeing you in November 2014 at the 31st edition of MINERALS BRNO, which will take place between 15th – 16th November 2014 in Hall B at the Brno Exhibition Centre.
