MINERALS BRNO will delight stone enthusiasts as well as conoisseurs of good wine

minerals or original jewellery can be purchased at the Brno Exhibition Centre
on the 20 and 21 May, where the 36th MINERALS BRNO exhibition is
held. More than 190 exhibitors from the Czech Republic and abroad will come to Hall
B. Visitors will see a really rich selection of processed and collectible
stones, fossils, natural products, decorative items and home accessories made
of precious stones and minerals. There will also be literature or mineralogical
and geological equipment available.
Those who are fond of accessories will also come the right place. They can look forward to tin, silver or wired jewellery with precious stones and minerals, surgical steel accessories, or precious stone jewellery in aged copper.
Young mineralogy fans can attend an entertaining and instructive programme prepared by the Institute of Geological Sciences of Masaryk University in Brno. Children can learn about the minerals and rocks they use in everyday life. Experts will also enable them to take a look at the history of life on Earth and learn about the time and environment of extinct creatures. They will also have a chance to compete in identifying minerals. The cleverest ones can look forward to an exciting reward.
Adults can relax after the exhibition with a glass of good wine. A public presentation of the GRAND PRIX VINEX wine competition will be traditionally held on the gallery of the pavilion. Visitors may taste from among 500 samples by domestic and foreign growers who are registered in the 24th annual edition of this competition. Visitors’ taste buds will also be tempted by excellent food products. On Saturday from 2 p.m., folklore lovers can enjoy a performance of a dulcimer band.
The exhibition is open on Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm, on Sunday from 9 am to 4:30 pm. Entry fee paid by adults is 100 CZK, children and pensioners over 65 pay 50 CZK. Convenient parking is available at Expoparking directly opposite the entrance to the exhibition near Hall E.
