International Eye Optics, Optometry and Ophthalmology Fair
OPTA will welcome professionals from the world of optics
The 27th season of the OPTA
International Eye Optics, Optometry and Ophthalmology Fair will take place at
the Brno Exhibition Centre from 3 to 5 March 2023. The interest of exhibitors
in the upcoming event shows this fair as an important place for business,
presentation of innovations and an ideal place for companies to meet up with
their customers and partners.
The largest domestic gathering of eye care professionals
OPTA will feature leading companies operating on the Czech market, thanks to which new collections for the upcoming season from the world's leading brands will be available for viewing. "This is a unique opportunity to get acquainted with such a large-scale presentation of the entire industry in the Czech Republic. That is why OPTA ranks among major events in the world of optics and is perceived as a festival of the industry thanks to the active approach of exhibitors," said Michalis Busios, director of the fair. In addition to the offer of spectacle frames and sunglasses, there will be no shortage of suppliers of corrective and contact lenses, technologies, and optical and ophthalmic devices. "The last season of this fair was affected by the pandemic situation, but now it is back in good shape. With the participation of industry leaders, we also expect increased interest from professionals in attending the event," added Busios. The companies that already signed up include AMBG, Carl Zeiss, Finest Trade, HOYA Lens CZ, Johnson & Johnson, MI.OPTICS, Opti - project, OPTILAND, Rodenstock CZ, Safilo, SAGITTA and SOVER. The co-organiser is traditionally the Association of Czech Opticians and Optometrists, the expert partners are the Optical Union of Slovakia and the Czech Contactology Society.
OPTA FORUM and an exhibition of vintage glasses
In 2023, OPTA is returning to the larger and more modern Hall V, where the accompanying OPTA FORUM programme will also be staged. It will focus on presenting the latest trends and on current sectoral topics. The DESIGN & TREND programme will also continue, focusing on the arrangement of opticians' shop windows. A unique historical exhibition of spectacles, focusing on the period from their origins to the 19th century, will be a major attraction. Utterly unique collector's models will be on display. Saturday's OPTA PARTY for representatives of exhibiting companies and their business partners, which will take place in a specially designated area of the exhibition hall, will be a highlight of the fair.
The TOP OPTA competition will award the best exhibits
Exhibitors will once again compete for TOP OPTA awards with their selected exhibits. A jury composed of industry professionals will select the best exhibits to be displayed at the fair. "Entering the competition is an additional marketing option for exhibitors to highlight their participation in the fair. I am sure we can expect to see a variety of innovative models," added Busios.
Comfortable entry with Club Card
People attending OPTA are mostly trade visitors and participants are almost exclusively registered professionals. In order to ensure the attendance of as many relevant visitors as possible, OPTA Club Cards allowing free entry to the fair will once again be distributed in cooperation with expo partners.
