The 25th OPTA International Eye Optics, Optometry and Ophthalmology Fair, the largest gathering of professionals devoted to care for eyesight quality in this country, was a great success. Leading suppliers on the Czech and Slovak markets met up in a professional setting with opticians, presented their new collections of eyeglass frames and sunglasses to them, and acquainted them with innovations in corrective lenses, contact lenses and instrumentation.

Demand for opticians' goods is driven by the continuing growth of the economy along with the ageing of the population and increased demands on eyesight quality influenced by the digitalisation of society. For twenty-five years, OPTA has been the place where retailers from the Czech Republic and Slovakia come to acquaint themselves with innovations in the field and to close new contracts. Market analysis shows that almost all the suppliers of opticians' goods to the Czech Republic and Slovakia were represented at the fair. New products from 167 brands were on display on the exhibition stands, first and foremost the latest collections of eyeglass frames and sunglasses, as well as corrective lenses, contact lenses, optical and ophthalmological instruments and associated goods. The co-organiser of the fair is the Association of Czech Opticians and Optometrists, its expert partners the Optical Union of Slovakia and the Czech Contact Lens Society.
