The 18th International Fair of Fire Technology and Services PYROS will take place in Brno from 31 May till June 2017. A new retail zone will be open to exhibitors of protective equipment.

PYROS is the largest specialized presentation of fire equipment and services in this country. Once in every two years it presents a wide range of resources to protect people’s life and health and protect property from fires, natural disasters, industrial accidents and the like. It usually attracts much attention from both professional and volunteer firefighters and next year takes place during a period of major investment in equipment, which opens up interesting business opportunities.

An interesting new feature, a retail area with direct sales of displayed merchandise to visitors, gives exhibitors an opportunity to offer special clothing and footwear, personal protective equipment and accessories such as helmets, masks, goggles, backpacks and others. The retail area will certainly contribute to making PYROS more alive, which can thus become attractive for more companies.

Organizers are planning several more interesting additions. PYROS 2017 will also take place on Saturday, which caters to visitors from among the general public and mainly volunteer firefighters, who no longer will have to take time off from work to visit the fair. Saturday, 3 June, is designed as a "Safety Day" for children and adults, where the exhibition centre will be the venue of live demonstrations showcasing various activities related to the integrated rescue system.

The landscape polygon will showcase dynamic demonstrations of fire protection, military and police intervention technology in action, such as putting out a fire. For the first time, the “Presidium of the Moravian Fire-fighting Union Cup” will take place here – a competition in TFA disciplines (Toughest Firefighter Alive), which is kind of fire sport under international rules. The General Directorate of Fire Rescue Service are preparing the Pyromeeting International Conference for the professional public.

Together with PYROS, trade fairs of defence and security technologies IDET and ISET will also be held next year as the Integrated Rescue System Fairs. They are a well-proven combination of three exhibition themes, which are closely connected. Many companies simultaneously supply several entities – the army, police and the firefighters. Exhibitors can thus reach all the corps in one place.

The important news is that all these sectors are preparing extensive renewal and upgrading of their technology and other equipment after many years. "IDET, PYROS and ISET are among important trade fairs of its kind in Europe and as such they have their place even in today’s modern times. Not all the innovations can be presented only on paper or a computer screen, and the best business deals are still being sealed by a handshake," said Major General Ing. Drahoslav Ryba, Director General of the Fire Rescue Service at last year's fair.

In 2015, the safety fairs trio welcomed 462 exhibiting companies from more than 30 countries and their offer was seen by 27.000 visitors. Exhibitors who wish to ensure the most advantageous price conditions for next year’s fairs, should not hesitate with their registration.
