International Fire Fighting Equipment and Services Fair

STRIX Chomutov, a.s., with partners PREFA Kompozity, a.s., and the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Czech Technical University in Prague will present at the PYROS trade fair the Mobile Protection and Ballistic Barrier - BALBAR, which is being developed within the research and development project FV10506 and supported by the MIT – Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.
The BALBAR is a mobile multi-stage protection system designed to enhance the safety and protection of the intervening units, people or property in various crisis and risk situations.
Explosive Defect Protection
- pressure and shock waves
- passage of any flames and heat waves
- impact of a flying pressure bottle in case of explosion
- fragmentation from exploding ammunition or improvised explosive device (IED)
Shooting Protection
- stopping conventional projectiles fired by handguns
