In mid-May, the Brno Exhibition Centre holds the MEDICAL FAIR BRNO and REHAPROTEX fairs where healthcare providers, rehabilitation and social care providers will present interesting innovations in their field. For suppliers of medical equipment and special aids for the handicapped, this is an opportunity to establish direct contacts with thousands of professionals who attend the fairs and the supporting programme in Brno.
Presentation of news and trends in health and rehabilitation technology has a long tradition in Brno. In recent years it was held each autumn, but based on the requests of the main exhibitors it moved to the spring dates 14 to 17 May this year. Furthermore, the connection of the two related disciplines is maintained, therefore the International Fair of Medical Technology and Health MEDICAL FAIR BRNO will take place together with International Fair of Rehabilitation, Assistive and Prosthetic Devices REHAPROTEX. Among the hundred participants already registered, there are traditional and major exhibitors like ALTECH, PATRON Bohemia, SIVAK, ERILENS, MEYRA ČR, VECOM, BTL zdravotnická technika, Madisson, RESI Třeboň and others. There are also first time participants such as Italian company Medinet or Ophardt Hygienetechnik from Germany.
Together with a shift in the dates, the content of the fairs partially changes as well, extended by current topics related primarily to the increase in aged clientele. Innovation projects include Senior, Old Age Patient Care, Social Care and Therapeutic Spas. The REHAPROTEX Fair will again be the largest show of its kind in Central Europe and will present not only a wide range of compensation, prosthetic, orthopaedic and rehabilitation equipment, but also wellness services and offers for seniors. Space for the presentation will again be given to social service providers. Medical Fair Brno will primarily appeal to health care providers and the patronage has been accepted by the Healthcare Minister Leoš Heger. The best exhibits of both fairs will compete for the prestigious Medical Fair Award and Rehaprotex Award.
Health fairs are a traditional place for professional meetings for which the Brno Exhibition Centre offers a range of suitable premises. These will be held from 14 to 16 May in Hall A3, Congress Hall E and BVV administrative building. There is going to be the traditional Health Day organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of the CR. Other popular activities include e-Health Days, a two-day conference focused on electronic support in healthcare. New technologies will be the focus of the Electronic Technologies in Healthcare conference and another professional conference is prepared by the Association of Social Service Providers. of Professional programme of the REHAPROTEX fair is also arranged by a proven organizer, the National Disability Council.
MEDICAL FAIR BRNO and REHAPROTEX were last held in October 2011 with the participation of 200 exhibiting companies, with over 9,000 visitors. This year’s stands will be located in Halls A1 and A2 and the professional community of health and social services management and workers as well as end users of the exhibited merchandise are invited to visit. The offer will also be extended by a sales centre – presentations of non-governmental humanitarian organizations, where visitors can choose any of the original products from sheltered workshops. It is a traditional and popular part of the REHAPROTEX fair which serves to support the non-profit organizations.
The gates of the exhibition centre will be open for visitors from Tuesday, 14 May to Thursday 16 May always from 10 am to 5 pm, on Friday 17 May only until 3 pm.
