SALIMATECH: New arrangement of the food expo in Brno will focus on the presentation of technologies
in the field, a professional space for the presentation of companies and products. All this will be featured by the SALIMATECH International Fair for Food Industry and Gastronomy, which will take place at the Brno Exhibition Centre from 7 to 9 February 2023 – this time with a new concept and focus on technologies in the food-processing industry.
For the first time ever, this food expo will be open only to trade visitors, which will bring much more space for networking, highlighting the latest technologies and discussions with experts. The new focus is adapted to this. "In previous seasons, the exhibition area was roamed around, in addition to trade visitors, by end customers wanting to buy foods, but in the upcoming season, the expo will have a purely B2B arrangement. This concept, which is in demand by exhibitors, deserved a new name SALIMATECH instead of the original name SALIMA," said Tomáš Moravec, CEO of BVV Trade Fairs Brno.
All major food industry sectors will be found in one place
The new concept under the SALIMATECH brand includes not only the aforementioned modern technologies for food production and automation in the food industry. Specialised fields that are traditionally part of food fairs also have their place here. The needs of the milling, baking and confectionery industry, food and beverage processing equipment, equipment for catering and hotels, and technology for the wine industry will be represented. There will also be a range of foods, ingredients and beverages with a focus on wholesale.
Topics of the new season of the expo
The current situation on the market and in society is related to the topics that will be discussed during the event. In addition to automation and digitalisation of production, an emphasis will be put on energy savings and efficiency. Topics such as food self-sufficiency or safety and development in food production are also at the forefront.
SALIMATECH is held concurrently with EmbaxPrint packaging fair
Food-processing companies purchase a high percentage of the packaging industry’s production. That is why SALIMATECH is held alongside the EmbaxPrint International Fair for Packaging and Printing. Once again, it is a B2B event with an elevated level of international participation – 63% of exhibitors from abroad took part in the last season. EmbaxPrint is also attractive with its extra programme, such as the Packaging Live demo packaging line, which will show a complete packaging process in practice.
