SALIMA TECHNOLOGY
7.-9.2. 2023
Fair for food industry and gastronomy
What will the traditional food fairs bring in 2018?
The preparations of the 31st SALIMA International Food Fair and concurrently held events are already in full swing. Based on last year's feedback, interesting features are prepared for the next edition.
More detailed visitor segmentation
In recent years, the demand for more universal solutions has been increasing so as to cover the demands of both the technology producers and representatives of fields focusing on experts and B2B visitors as well as food and beverage producers, quality label holders and regional food producers. These, on the contrary, prefer the end customers. In close cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic, the Czech Chamber of Commerce and other professional organizations, the organizers have adapted the conception of the upcoming SALIMA fair to meet these different exhibitor requirements.
SALIMA Technology for food technologies
The present SALIMA fair has been divided into two segments -the traditional SALIMA and new SALIMA Technology. The distribution of food fairs will not affect exhibitors in either of the segments. Traditional halls, conditions for participation and the division of visitor groups remain remain the same. However, fair organizer believes that the new conception will ensure effective communication and targeted promotion of both fairs. The goal is to bring the right clients to each of the exhibitors.
SALIMA Technology is primarily intended for Czech and foreign producers, suppliers and retailers in the field of food technologies. The visitors can find products and services ranging from production automation and robotisation to components and laboratory equipment. Naturally, there will also be food processing businesses preferring B2B clientele here, such as suppliers of raw materials, food and beverages for hotel and restaurant businesses and seasonal food producers.
The concurrently held MBK - INTECO fairs complement the presentation with flour-milling industry, baking industry, confectionery industry, wine-making, and commerce, hotel and catering sectors. This provides for a comprehensive presentation of food processing industry in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
For exhibitors representing the MBK flour-milling industry, baking industry, confectionery industry, who will actively present baking technologies, ingredients and other equipment, we have prepared individual pricing solutions to compensate for the high energy costs of the machines and to ensure their active involvement in supporting programmes organized by the Union of Bakers and Confectioners in the Czech Republic.
SALIMA will occupy traditional halls
For visitors looking for new tastes and smells with the opportunity to taste everything and buy selected goods, new product portfolios will be offered by food producers in Halls A1, A2 and C.
Halls A1 and A2 will host presentations of food of Czech and foreign origin, official foreign participation and exhibition stands of individual suppliers of food, ingredients, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, confectionery, coffee and tea, delicatessen and other foodstuffs. You can also look forward to organic foods, non-traditional and exotic food and new trends that move the current food market. Last but not least, the visitor can taste quality label products such as Klasa, Regionální potravina. What is also worth mentioning is the traditionally large presentation of producers of regional foods from the South Moravian Region and holders of the Zlatá Chuť jižní Moravy quality brand. The entire show of the best in the food industry will be complemented by competitions and supporting programmers for the whole family.
Hall C will host another edition of the popular Festival of Microbreweries. It is organized under the auspices of the Czech-Moravian Microbreweries Association, which brings together over 300 microbreweries. Beer specialists, experts as well as the general public will have a chance to taste more than 200 kinds of beers from more than 50 Czech and Slovak "mini breweries" from all over the Czech Republic. Some of them have even brewed special beers for this occasion.
The visitors will surely be attracted by the presentation of winemakers, which is held this year under the auspices of the Wine Fund, which has included the Vinex fair on the list of supported events.
News from the world of packaging and printing in Hall G
The food fairs are complemented by the EmbaxPrint International Packaging and Printing Fair professionally sponsored by SYBA and held in Hall G. The synergies between the food fairs and the EmbaxPrint trade fair has proved successful in recent years as a high percentage of the packaging industry's production is directed to the food industry.
