Preparations for agricultural and forestry fairs 2022 well under way
TECHAGRO, SILVA REGINA and BIOMASA will take place at the Brno Exhibition Center from 3rd to 7th April 2022.
SILVA REGINA will be held in 2022, ANIMAL TECH will be postponed to September 2021
Due to the ongoing unfavourable epidemic situation and government measures that do not allow the holding of a full-feature expo event, and hence the persisting uncertainty about further development, the management of Trade Fairs Brno agreed with partner sectoral associations to cancel the TECHAGRO, SILVA REGINA and BIOMASS 2021 fairs and hold them from 3 to 7 April 2022. ANIMAL TECH and the National Show of Livestock will be postponed to 5-8 September 2021.
Czech Cup Silva Regina 2020 disciplines
The STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® lumberjack sports competition will take place at the exhibition centre from Wednesday to Saturday, and as always, it will be exciting, full of action, noisy and, above all, entertaining. And what will you, spectators, see?
The Brno agriculture and forestry fairs will focus on trade in times of climate change
From 31 March to 4 April, the TECHAGRO International Fair of Agricultural Technology SILVA REGINA International Forestry and Hunting Fair and BIOMASS Trade Fair for Renewable Sources of Energy in Agriculture and Forestry will take place at the Brno Exhibition Centre (Czech Republic). This complex is one of the three largest fairs of its kind in Europe, with over 700 exhibitors presenting themselves on almost 90 thousand square meters, and it is attended by more than 110 thousand visitors. The 2020 expo will completely fill the Brno Exhibition Centre and the supporting programme will be expanded compared to previous years. Both the exhibition stands and the supporting programme combine the topic of sustainable management in times of climate change.
SILVA REGINA is growing
The SILVA REGINA fair will once again be traditionally located in Hall Z and its surroundings. Inside Hall Z visitors will find mainly expositions related to gamekeeping, and open-air areas will present forestry equipment. Exhibitors have signed up from all areas of forest management – from logging through transport (including, for example, cable cars) to processing or hand tools. In addition to traditional exhibitors, new companies are also signing up, so the offer on the exhibition area will certainly be wider than in previous years. The SILVA REGINA expositions are thematically followed by exhibitors at the BIOMASS fair, who will mainly present the energy use of wood. The hunting part of SILVA REGINA will focus on sales of supplies for outdoor activities, weapons, optics and clothing. Lesy České republiky [Forests of the Czech Republic] will be presented with a large exposition.
Agricultural and forestry technology for sustainable farming and forest stewardship at the largest fair in Central Europe
The TECHAGRO International Fair of Agricultural Technology, along with the SILVA REGINA International Forestry and Hunting Fair and the BIOMASS Trade Fair of Renewable Sources of Energy in Agriculture and Forestry took place at the Brno Exhibition Centre from 8 to 12 April 2018. All these fairs put together were attended by 724 companies from 37 countries on an area of 87,000 square meters – hence, the Brno Exhibition Centre was completely sold out. Over the five days, the Brno Exhibition Centre was visited by more than 110 thousand visitors.
Opening address by Minister of Agriculture Jiří Milek
A complex of agricultural and forestry fairs was ceremonially opened in the Rotunda of Hall A. Minister of Agriculture Jiří Milek on this occasion delivered a speech about the importance of the agriculture and forestry sector for the Czech economy and about the role of the Brno trade fairs.
Hunting supplies and interesting sideline programme
Hall Z will be completely under the rule of hunting until Thursday 12 April. A lot of hunting supplies, including clothing and footwear dealers, can be found at the SILVA REGINA fair. The stands are selling shirts, jackets or trousers, all of which are naturally tailored for outdoor stays. Available are also accessories, including belts, hats or bags.
Let us not let water go out of the fields
Soil Water Retention Friendly diplomas have been for the first time ever awarded at the Techagro, Biomass and Silva Regina fairs; they went to machines and technologies that help keep water in the landscape. Three diplomas go to two Czech companies – P&L from Biskupice u Luhačovic and OPaLL-AGRI from Dolní Životice in the Opava district.
