STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® with a lot of news at the Silva Regina fair
Once again this year, Silva Regina will feature the popular Czech Cup Silva Regina race in the popular lumberjack race STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS®. This year's edition boasts a record number of competitors from all over the Czech Republic, including members of the national team headed by Martin Komárek. 18 competitors will race in four disciplines. The competition marks the start of 8 qualifications for this year's Czech Republic Championship.
As a novelty for the Silva Regina fair, the organizers included a national team relay in which the Czechs belong among the best European teams. In this viewer-attractive sport, the contestants compete in the chopping of a trunk standing up and lying down, and cutting with a motor saw and a hand saw. Martin Komárek, the world vice-champion, will then show sawing with high-performance and chopping in a height.
4 days will be newly dedicated to Timbersport at the trade fair. The above race will take place on 10 April 2018 starting at noon in front of Hall Z. In the following days, visitors can enjoy a sports and entertainment show with audience competitions and demonstrations of wood sculpturing with a motor saw. "The public already knows about the high professionalism of the trade fairs, and now visitors can also see real performance of the best and brightest, and that is great. Over the past two seasons, also the competitors enjoyed a great atmosphere at the race and are already looking forward to come back to Brno", said Mr. Komárek.
