Additionally, the catwalk in Hall P will also come to life several times a day with contract shows of new collections by the exhibiting companies. In addition to ladieswear and menswear, we are also preparing underwear and hosiery shows.
What are the trends and what will be ‘in’?
This key question will be answered by the traditional presentation by Dutch designer Ellen Haeser, followed by a fashion show. It will take place on Saturday, 17 February, from 2 pm, directly on the catwalk in Hall P, and this renowned expert will focus not only on styles, shapes, colours and fabrics for women's and men's fashion in the autumn - winter 2018/2019 season, but will also highlight trends in sustainable fashion, stores or user applications with an outlook until the year 2030. At the end of the lecture there will be a commented fashion show of trendy models that Ellen Haeser will choose from exhibitors’ collections.
The second unique trend lecture will focus on ladies' lingerie. It will put current cuts demonstrated on models of different brands in the spotlight during a commented fashion show. Martin Kárych from ALTRA will present these trends to the traders on the catwalk of Hall P on the same day, Saturday, 17 February at 11 am, and the lecture will be held immediately following the Lingerie Show.
A consultancy centre not only for merchants
Do you know how to correctly describe the material composition of a garment? Do you understand all the maintenance symbols? Do you know the new European directive on sizing? And do you know what Merino wool properties are and how to take care of them? All of these issues will be addressed by the STYL Consultancy Centre, which will open in Hall P for the first time. Exhibitors and visitors will be offered free consultations on Saturdays and Sundays at 10 am and at 4 pm while experts from ATOK, SOTEX and Woolmark will also advise on complaints and consumer protection.
The programme also includes a lecture "Merino Wool - Beautiful and Versatile, Providing Comfort Throughout the Year" or a seminar on "What Duties GDPR Will Bring to Small Manufacturers and Traders". On Sunday, various inputs will be offered to today's traders in an interesting presentation called "You Want, You Can!" with often unknown facts and ideas by Tomas Bata. Martin Kárych will address the question of whether a uniform price is fair for all involved in a lecture entitled "XXS vers. 4XL or 65A against 120G".
There will also be two traditional award ceremonies included in the programme. On Saturday at 3 pm, ‘Czech Quality’ and ‘Giraffe’ certificates will be presented to manufacturers and suppliers of healthy footwear. On Sunday, the "Personality of the Year 2017 in the Textile and Footwear Industry" award will be presented.
