The fashion trade fairs have begun, with fashion shows getting a brand new look
The 52nd STYL and KABO trade fairs have started – all hail the summer of fashion! As is tradition, today’s STYL SHOW featured ready-made garments as well as collections of the trade fairs’ exhibitors. The brands and manufacturers Ateliér Donát, TRAMONTANA, SANU BABU, MODĚVA in cooperation with Jana Berg, Lada Vyvialová, and E.daniely presented their works on the pavilion P’s catwalk, which has undergone a visual change since the last time – it has opened up to the pavilion itself.
The fashion show started with the display of pieces made by Ateliér Donát. The Czech company decided to go with a collection made from organic materials combined with the timeless contrast of black and white. Skirts, dresses, trousers, blouses, as well as hooded jackets made use of intriguing optical effects of the materials’ various combinations. Next, the catwalk saw the arrival of women whose youth and vitality were only accentuated by the garments made by the Dutch brand TRAMONTANA. Pink and yellow jumpers, cosy dresses, floral or side stripe trousers, jeans as well as denim jackets, and other easy to combine pieces of clothing were all delightful options for a modern woman who likes to spend her day in comfortable clothes.
In sharp contrast to the previous display came the innovative collection made by the company SANU BABU, which has been importing clothes and other accessories from Nepal, Tibet, and India to the Czech market for the last 20 years. The comfortable, primarily women’s clothes unveiled by the company in Brno possessed the traditional bright colourfulness – even the stockings - and oriental patterns, and compared to the past made more use of geometric shapes. Perhaps the biggest surprise of the day was the collection formed by MODĚVA who joined forces with the fashion designer Jana Berg. Thanks to this noteworthy co-operation, Moděva’s traditional assortment (men’s and women’s winter coats and pelerines made from high-quality wool fabrics combined with coloured furs) was extended to include women’s and men’s padded jackets. This was MODĚVA’s way of indicating which direction they would like to go in the future and how they would market themselves to a younger clientele. The company presented easy to combine clothes made from special polyester fabrics with bold colours and design elements.
The last two collections left no one questioning the identities of their authors. The designer Lada Vyvialová presented models of modest colours whose beautiful cuts demonstrated the imaginative thinking of their creator, be it the dresses, tops, trousers, or skirt pants. The prominent Czech brand E.daniely let their genius materialise in the form of a women’s collection that thrived with femininity and diversity in cuts and used materials. The STYL SHOW will be open to visitors every day from 10:30 to 13:00. It will be accompanied by fashion shows featuring lingerie, swimwear, and beachwear (every day from 11:30 to 14:00).
