STYL and KABO fairs - information summary
The STYL and KABO trade fairs begin in Brno on Saturday 16 February. Who owns a store or e-shop and wants to get acquainted with fashion trends and new collections, which will be distributed in half a year, has a great opportunity here. The 53rd International Fashion Fairs will last for three days and exhibitors will bring in new items from more than five hundred brands of clothing, lingerie, footwear and leather haberdashery from eleven countries around the world.
In recent years, the proportion of direct producers has grown, this time accounting for half of all the registered exhibitors. There will be sixty-three purely Czech producers exhibiting and fifty-four companies will bring their collections for the very first time. The STYL trade fair traditionally occupies the largest Hall P where 159 exhibitors from 17 countries will offer women's, men's and children's clothing, leisurewear, lingerie, accessories, jewellery, and even supplies of fabric and haberdashery. For the first time, STYL will for example present the Italian manufacturer of women's clothing, Gironacci Arduino, Sun Diva Bulgarian swimwear made of Italian fabric or Mad Max Fashion with collections of women's fashion by the Spanish brand smash! and the Danish brand Nümph. Turkey will have a strong presence with new exhibitors of men's suits, women's outfits, jeans and textiles. Interesting newcomers will arrive from Romania, France, Poland, China, Germany, Slovakia and, of course, from the Czech Republic, where people will see the Bretton and O'Style sportswear brands or Dolce Moda Ladies and Men's Fashion at the trade fair for the first time and at very favourable purchase prices.
Exhibitors of footwear and leather goods will attract visitors to the neighbouring Hall F. KABO will feature 83 exhibitors from 12 countries.
Traditional exhibitors include Caprice, DERMATEX, Gabor, Geneze, Jana shoes, Jiří Šnobl, Legero, T + M Konsorcium T+M, MARCO TOZZI, Rieker Bohemia, Salamander, s.Oliver Shoes, Tamaris, UNIDAX, V + J OBUV and more. The newcomers will feature several brands from Poland, as well as the Turkish Alpino Shoes, the Portuguese FFShoes and after four years also the returning Primigi Italian brand of children's shoes. The first-time participation of an Iranian natural leather supplier is an interesting addition to the fair.
Creative designer collections
A novelty of the current edition, the Design Street section, offers the visitor a chance to see the garments by Czech and foreign designers all in one place, and also an exhibition of innovative wool materials by The Woolmark Company. Presented designers will include Karin Poyel, Avenir - Jana Koperová, Lada Vyvialová and Laura Manuela Sanchez Sanz, the winner of the Spanish Designers Competition. A special show will also be held three times during the trade fair, featuring the designer garments by Karin Poyel, Iveta Řádková and Laura Manuela Sanchez Sanz. Additionally, the catwalk in Hall P will come alive several times a day with contracting shows showcasing new collections by exhibiting companies; women's and men's prêt-a-porter will alternate with lingerie and hosiery shows.
What will we wear and sell?
This key information will be provided in a lecture by Dutch designer and trending forecaster Ellen Haeser together with a fashion show of exhibitors’ trendy collections. It will take place on Saturday 16 February, at 1:30 pm, at the Programme Centre in Hall P. The renowned expert will advise traders on sales hits, inform them about the current sales trends and suggest what to concentrate on in the exhibitors’ offers.
Two consultancy centres
Both exhibitors and visitors can turn to experts in each of the halls, who can talk to them free of charge and advise on their textile, clothing and leather industry issues. At STYL in Hall P, you will learn how to choose the material according to functionality and also everything about clothing maintenance and marking. Specialists will also discuss complaints and analyse them from the perspectives of a manufacturer, a trader and a forensic expert. At KABO in Hall F, customers will find out how to properly care for footwear and handbags, including the modern patinated, rugged and coated leathers and high-tech materials. An architect can consult the fitting of shops and presentation of goods, while useful information about a marketing strategy or the drawing support funding will be provided to budding entrepreneurs. Both consultancy centres are open on Saturday 16 February and on Sunday 17 February from 10 am to 4 pm.
Access the trade fair easily with the Club Card
Everyone who is involved in or works in the textile, apparel, footwear and leather industries can become a member of the STYL and KABO Visitors Club, which will save them money and time. There is no need to register and wait anymore because the barcoded Club Card enables you to access Hall P directly or the main entrance to the Exhibition Centre via the turnstiles. In addition, there is no parking fee while other benefits and discounts will be provided by Holiday Inn, Fairhotel on Rybářská Street and the VIDA! Science Centre.
