STYL and KABO come up with new topics
Brno fashion fairs have been succeeding in reaching out to new groups of exhibitors and visitors on a long-term basis. In addition to presentations of young independent portfolios in the Fresh Fashion project, the textiles and haberdashery section will again be presented in August. Completely new themes such as shop decorations or handmade products are planned for the future.
Whoever is active in the fashion industry, certainly knows that STYL and KABO have been held in Brno for over twenty years, twice a year. In February this year, its results continued in the positive trend of the previous year, demonstrating the stabilization of the fashion industry and improved the situation in the retail industry. The 43rd STYL and KABO fair was attended by 258 exhibitors from 16 countries and the number of presented fashion brands grew by a tenth to 558. Again, it was the largest B2B meeting of the textile, clothing, footwear and leather industry on the Czech and Slovak market, which attracted more than five thousand professional visitors, traders and buyers.
Among the thirty companies, which were presented in Brno for the first time, were PtakModa from Lodz, Poland - the largest wholesale clothing operator in Central Europe, bringing together an offer of 250 Polish manufacturers and designers. Although domestic production focuses mainly on export, sixty Czech manufacturers across all industries also exhibited in February. After a successful premiere in August 2013, the section of young and independent fashion, Fashion Fresh returned to the fair, extended by new exhibitors – for example accessories and minimalist fashion brand Ritore or unconventional children's clothing brand Spookid.
The next, 44th edition of STYL and KABO will take place from 24 to 26 August 2014. After a year, visitors will meet with a concentrated supply of loose fabric, haberdashery and equipment for the production of clothing.
The August STYL and KABO are maintaining a good distribution of sectors in Halls P and F, including relaxation areas, the catwalk and a Live Gallery. Exhibitors’ news and trends will again be presented "live" during contractual fashion shows. Thanks to the scheduled dates on Sunday to Tuesday, traders from small shops and other outlets can also visit the fair.
Four months in advance, approximately 130 companies are already registered to take part in the August fashion fairs. The STYL fair includes companies such as Anita Moravia, Jihočeská textilní, Lamido, Mileta, Modela, Sanu Babu, Manfred Hegler, Polo Trade, Favab or Urban Group. The Taiwan Textile Association exhibition stand is under negotiations. Companies who already applied to the KABO fair include for example Anekta, Lanson Praha, Gabor, Rieker, Högl, Czech Footwear and leather Association members are preparing a joint stand.
