STYL
The STYL Fashion Fair has been held in Brno since 1993 always in February and August, showcasing new collections and trends in classic fashion, leisure fashion, children's and maternity fashion, lingerie and swimwear. In recent years, it regularly occupies the Hall P, the largest exhibition hall in Central Europe, and its range primarily addresses merchants and buyers from the Czech and Slovak retail network. Most of the exhibitors visit the STYL trade fair regularly twice a year to meet their customers. This year in August companies such as Anita Moravia, Donet, Etex, Favab, H&D, Jihočeská textilní, Jopess fashion, Lisca Moda, Manfred Hegler, Mileta, Modela, Pleas, Sanu Babu or Urban Group will be present. Visitors can also see the new collections live, four times a day at contractual fashion shows in Hall P. There will also be two special fashion events. On the second day of the fair, Monday 25 August, a fashion show of Czech designer Luděk Kellner titled WITHOUT A NAME will be held, presenting a collection of women's formal dresses. Each model is inspired by the material from which it is made. Part of the collection was made using prepared design and cut. Other models were born by arranging directly on a mannequin with immediate inspiration. Luděk Kellner is a graduate of the Textile College in Brno. In February 2012, he was with his collection “The Wave” in the finals of the Top Styl designer competition. A Live Gallery will again stand next to the catwalk, complemented by the popular chill-out zone with interesting snacks.
Introducing new brands
Every six months, dozens of new exhibitors from the Czech Republic and abroad appear at the STYL fair. Some want to expand to the Czech and Slovak fashion market and broaden their range with new brands, others return after a several years’ break. Fresh Fashion zone for the third time
Fresh Fashion, a selection of original young fashion first opened at the STYL fair in August 2013. It was then a step into the unknown, but it turned out that small companies with genuine Czech products fill a niche in our standard fashion market. The response of trade fair visitors was so positive that the Fresh Fashion Zone returned to the Brno Exhibition Centre in February - six months earlier than originally planned.
In August 2014, we will meet with independent fashion at the Brno fashion fairs for the third time and a record number of twelve exhibitors - young and creative Czech companies will be present. Their range is again dominated by accessories, mainly leather goods and jewellery, but also clothing, printed stockings and a sheer novelty, original Czech wooden glasses.
Suppliers of fabrics and haberdashery together
Already a year ago, organisers of STYL decided to meet the growing interest in fabrics, haberdashery and other subcontracts required for the final production of clothing. This trend is related to the return of production of higher quality goods to Europe. Therefore, after several years, a section of linen, furnishings and equipment for the production of clothing was opened at the Brno Exhibition Centre in August 2013. Exhibitors were pleased with the participation and agreed to continue this special section always during the August fashion fairs. This year’s return will present companies such as PEGA-VEL, Tylex Letovice, Velveta or members of the Clutex technical textiles cluster – companies such as STAP, ELAS and KOH-I-NOOR. STRIMA CZECH will join the suppliers section with their range of sewing machines, special programmes and other equipment for textile production.
KABO with both traditional and new exhibitors
