The 46th International Fashion Fairs STYL and KABO will be held at the Brno Exhibition Centre from Saturday 22 August to Monday 24 August 2015. Thanks to the stabilization in the field of fashion , the fairs enjoy great popularity in terms of strong exhibitor participation. This August, exhibitors from 17 countries present new collections by 633 fashion, textile, footwear and leatherware brands. Hundreds of innovation also include expected sales hits for the season spring/summer 2016. The fairs also traditionally feature a special programme for merchandisers. This August, we prepare the only trend seminar for them, in cooperation with a renowned foreign expert. Ellen Haeser from the Netherlands kindly accepted our invitation again. She is an expert with more than 30 years of experience with trend-making as well as with textile materials development. Her lecture (simultaneously interpreted) will be held on Saturday 22 August at 2 PM, the entry is free of charge and the seminar will allocate some time for questions from the audience at its conclusion.
On Monday 24 August at 11 AM, the STYL fair will become a venue of a trend seminar specifically about lingerie and swimwear for the first time ever. Organizers will also supply the latest material innovations for the season 2016 - 2017.
The Association of Textile-Clothing–Leather Industry (ATOK) will hold a seminar “New Options in OPPIK Grants Within the Programming Period 2014 - 2020” where they will present a detailed overview of grant programmes from the perspective of grant providers.
There are also two traditional ceremonies planned to take place. The exhibition of exhibits from the Jan Pivečka Foundation Awardwill be held for the ninth time this August. The award promotes creativity of students at professional schools and young designers of footwear and leather haberdashery. There are three categories in the competition - Funny Show, Young Spirit and Professional View. The winners are determined by an independent expert jury. In total, 43 students from 5 professional schools in the Czech Republic enrolled in the competition with 62 exhibits. During the trade fairs, Czech Quality Awards “Česká kvalita” and “Žirafa – Healthy Children's Footwear” will be held as well.
