STYL and KABO Fairs – summary

 

From Sunday, August 24, to Tuesday, August 26, the Brno Exhibition Centre will belong to the 44th STYL and KABO Fairs. Exhibitors coming from nineteen countries will present new collections of nearly six hundred clothing, textiles, footwear and leather brands designed particularly for the season spring–summer 2015.  For some of them it will be the first time in Brno and other bring brands that are still unknown in our market. More than five thousand professional visitors, i.e. mainly traders and buyers, are expected to attend.

The STYL Fair traditionally takes place in the largest and most modern exhibition hall P, in which 153 exhibitors coming from 14 countries will present 375 collections of women's wear, men's wear and children's wear, lingerie, accessories, bijoux or textile materials. Moreover, the Czech Republic is represented by 69 Czech producers. This time, attractive new brands include the Capuccino brand represented by the Fashion CZ company, the Vanilia and Von Zeiten brands from the Beck International company or the Aimée Vogue brand of the Slovak Modemax company. Visitors may see the extravagant denim and young fashion by the Romanian Zara Design company and its Foggy brand. For the first time, Ukrainian Dina Leather company will introduce its natural leather wear Natur Collection. The English Bottomless London brand will be another new interesting brand, offering young leisure fashion in urban style. As usual, Poland will be strongly represented. The Ptak Moda from Lodz, Poland, the largest clothing wholesaler in Central Europe, Associating 250 Polish manufacturers and designers, was first represented in February and now is coming back to Brno. As far as lingerie is concerned, the Polish company AB OVO Lingerie will be present for the first time and will bring new brands, such as Gossard, Shock Absorber or Pretty Polly and a new Polish brand of children's wear Barbaras. Again, visitors will be able to see newcomers from distant and exotic countries, such as the Indian company D.A. Groups or the Taiwanese Textile Association with a range of clothing materials and garments. FRESH FASHION, a zone for alternative and independent fashion and bijoux will open again, as well a section of linen, furnishings and equipment for the production of clothing, which prove that Czech  companies have a lot to offer in this field.

In Hall P models will appear four times a day at the catwalk to show the most interesting out of 30 exhibitors' collections for next spring and summer. The STYLE Show, contracting shows of women's and men's fashion, start at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Visitors may attend the BEACHWEAR Show with collections of swimwear, beachwear and accessories on Sunday and Tuesday at 10 a.m. and on Monday at 1 p.m. The LINGERIE Show "Night & Day" with collections of lingerie, nightwear and hosiery will take place on Sunday and Tuesday at 1 p.m. and on Monday at 10  a.m. Furthermore, two special fashion events are prepared. A show of Felina lingerie collection with Jablonec costume jewellery as assortment on Sunday at 4 p.m. and a collection of women's formal dresses of the Czech designer Luděk Kellner on Monday same time. Models will include Gabriela Franková, Miss ČR 2014, second most beautiful girl of 2014, Tereza Skoumalová, Vice Miss of the Czech Republic and Tereza Fajksová, Miss Earth 2012.

Hall F, adjacent to Hall P, will belong to KABO and its new trends in footwear and leather wear. The largest contracting show in this field will welcome all well known exhibitors and brands, such as Ara, Lanson, Gabor, Rieker, Högl, Wortmann, Caprice, Axel Accessories, Wendel, Genesis, Legero or Obutex. In total, 85 exhibitors from 10 countries will be present, out of which 16 are Czech producers, introducing collections and models of more than 219 brands. The supporting exhibition KABO FORUM will be held in the central part of Hall F, where visitors may see works of vocational school students, who are expected to maintain the Czech shoemaking tradition in the future.

Traditionally, there is a special program for traders. Professional guarantors prepared interesting lectures and a professional training. ATOK, Association of Textile-Clothing-Leather Industry, will hold a seminar on Monday, on "How to solve the shortage of technically skilled graduates", introducing the possibilities of continued professional education with the use of subsidies.

ČOKA, Czech Footwear and Leather Association, organizes two seminars at the Brno Exhibition Centre intended especially for traders. One on Sunday, on "How to professionally sell shoes", dedicated to commodity knowledge and feet measurement, and another one on Monday, focusing on principles of healthy footwear and foot care among children.

Among others, two traditional ceremonies are prepared for the eighth time in history the Jan Pivečka Foundation Award will be given to students of vocational schools and young designers of footwear and leather wear to highlight their creativity. There are three categories in this competition – Funny Shoe, Young Spirit and Professional View – and the winner is decided upon by an independent expert jury. Moreover, during the fairs manufacturers and suppliers of healthy children's shoes will be awarded with certificates "Česká kvalita" (Czech Quality) and "Žirafa".

Visitors will be able to find their way through the Exhibition Halls thanks to an easy leaflet "MAP OF COMPANIES AND BRANDS", which they will receive at the entrance to the grounds or at the box offices. Throughout the duration of the fashion fairs, the premises can only be entered on the basis of a compulsory registration or pre-registration, which can be made via Internet. The venues of the fairs, Halls P and F, are located in the western part of the trade fair grounds. The Main Entrance, Hall E Entrance and Hall P Entrance will be open for visitors. Easy movement throughout the exhibition area will ensure the FREE STYL-KABO buses, running regularly on two routes (from the Main Entrance and from Hall E) to Halls P and F and back. Their stops are distinctively marked, you cannot miss them. The STYL-KABO buses may also be used by visitors of the fair, who arrive by car and park in the indoor EXPOPARKING car park, situated directly at Gate 4 opposite Hall E. Car passengers can also use a large car park by Hall P (entrance through gate 8 or 9).
