STYL and KABO Fairs - Summary
From Saturday, 18 February, to Monday, 20 February, Brno will become the crossroads of fashion industry. The 49th International Fashion Fairs STYL and KABO assert the advantageous trend when fashion and business go up hand in hand and interest in new collection presentations keeps rising. New collections of 758 clothing, textile, footwear and leatherware brands will be presented by exhibitors from twenty countries. There will be 75 purely Czech producers whose goods are attracting more and more customers, and almost 50 companies will bring their collections to Brno for the very first time. We expect that more than five thousand expert visitors will come check them out, i.e. mainly businessmen and merchandisers. Another piece of big news is that after five years in Hall F, the International Fair of Footwear and Leatherware KABO is moving to the Hall V.
The STYL fair traditionally takes up the largest and newest Hall P, where exhibitors from 18 countries offer 413 collections of men's, women's and children's ready-to-wear clothes, leisure fashion and lingerie, as well as accessories and jewellery. You can also look forward to most of the traditional exhibitors; companies such as Anytra, Aivelli, Calvi, Etex Hořice, H & D Prostějov, Hegler, Jihočeská textilní, Jopess, Lamido, Otto Striessnig, Pleas, Pletex, Janet, Texart, Vestis line and others will be showcasing their new collections for the season autumn-winter 2017/2018 here. Apart from the aforementioned ones, 59 domestic producers such as Deny Fashion, Modela, Moděva and Karpet will be participating as well as Erika, who is coming for the first time. New exhibitors will arrive from faraway Asian countries such as India, Pakistan, China and Turkey. For example, the company Hang Zhou New Spring from the city of Hangzhou in east China producing silk accessories. This company designes approximately 700 ties, cuff links, etc. a year. At the same time, the February fairs will be a premiere for many European brands as well; among others, Ukrainian hats and caps Hattson, Polish women's fashion and pregnancy fashion 9fashion, Hungarian brands Goldenland and Santino Sarto making men's fashion, or men's and women's denim fashion brand Livello. Another newcomer is a Lithuanian knitwear producer Gratijas (brand Magnolica), Slovak producer of sportswear and accessories Benesport or a Slovak company Dake that imports men's fashion by Italian brands.
Models will strut up and down the catwalk three times a day to show the most interesting pieces from the exhibitors' collections. Every day at 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM, a STYL Show dedicated to men's and women's fashion will take place, and at 11:30 AM, there will be Lingerie Show presenting underwear and nightwear collections, including pantyhose.
After a long time, the exhibition of footwear and leatherware is moving; the traditional Hall F was no longer sufficient to cover the capacity for increased requirements from the exhibitors. Visitors will find footwear and handbags in the adjacent Hall V that is larger and better accesible; you may enter the Exhibition Centre by car through Gate 4 and park directly at the Hall entrance. Traditional exhibitors at the fair KABO include companies such as Albot, Anekta, ara, Caprice, Dermatex, Gabor, Jana shoes, Lanson Praha, Legero, Marco Tozzi, Pegres obuv, Protetika, Salamander, Tamaris, Rieker and others. Czech producers are furthermore represented by companies such as Snaha, Elega, Jonap, belt-making company Pennybelts or VTR, maker of shoelaces and insoles. Newcomers include suppliers of barefoot footwear by brands Leguano and naBOSo, and also Hungarian footwear company Puntorosso or Polish women's footwear company San. Visitors will also have the first chance to check out Romanian handbags, purses and backpacks Desirette or a range of handbags, belts and other accessories by a renowned fashion brand Lerros. You should not miss the footwear exhibit by the brand Mida, which is a leader brand of the Ukrainian footwear market and producer of top-quality leather footwear. We also need to mention the premiere trade fair participation of the company Baťa which will present mainly new collection by its own brands Weinbrenner and Power, but also collections by prestigious brands such as Diesel and Le Coq Sportif. In total, 110 exhibitors from 12 countries (including 16 Czech manufacturers) will present merchandise by 345 brands. The supporting exhibit KABO FORUM allows visitors to check out creations by students of professional schools that will continue the Czech footwear-production tradition in the years to come.
The fairs will also be properly spiced-up by the supporting programme. The popular presentation of fashion trends by the Dutch fashion expert Ellen Haeser continues. Her seminar with a commented fashion show will be held at the catwalk in Hall P on Saturday at 2:00 PM and its main topic is men's and women's fashion for the season autumn-winter 2017/2018. There will also be a lecture given by Martin Kárych from Altra company on Saturday and on Sunday on "Women's Lingerie - Health Aspects of Unsuitable Selection". On Monday, there is a professional seminar on EET issues for businessmen.. There are also two traditional ceremonies planned to take place. On Saturday at 3:00 PM, certificates Czech Quality, Comfortable Shoe and Giraffe will be awarded to the producers and suppliers of healthy footwear. Sunday will seethe “Textile and Footwear Industry Personality of the Year” Awards.
Visitors can navigate through the Halls easily with the help of the traditional printed guide MAPS OF COMPANIES AND BRANDS they will receive upon their entry to the Exhibition Centre or at ticket offices. Throughout the fairs, the Exhibition Centre will only be accessible upon mandatory registration or pre-registration. The venue is Halls P and V located in the western part of the Exhibition Centre. Visitors will be able to access the Exhibition Centre through the Main Entrance, Entrance at Hall E and Hall P. Travel around the exhibition grounds will be provided by STYL-KABO buses circulating in short intervals according to the schedule.
