Brief characteristics of the exhibit
FARMTEC vitalimetr 5P (Movement, rumination, food intake, fertility, cow comfort) is a device for monitoring physical activity for the animals and recording their time of rumination and feed intake. Simultaneous recording of all three variables increases the accuracy of the changes in animal behavior. The time chewing and eating is recognized using the accelerometer records analyzed by the detection algorithm. The measured values are evaluated in communicating SW FARMSOFT in terms of stress factors (illness, inappropriate treatment, heat stress, overcrowding of pens, limited "cow comfort" etc.) influence, which can be effectively used in the herd management.
Specification of advantages compared to the competitors
Vitalimetr 5P unlike competing systems records a period of rumination, feed intake time, resting time and own physical activity of cows. The advantage is even setting of evaluating vitality and sensitivity parameters, and the device sensibility directly in the computer program Farmsoft. The advantage over other suppliers is a contactless programming of the sensor in vitalimetr, allowing the control program upgrading with an option to change the function of the device attaching to the leg to monitoring locomotion frequency, lying and standing time.
