Brief characteristics of the exhibit
It has been proved that compost and post-harvest residues incorporated into the soil increased the infiltration of water into the soil as well as the water management of the soil, especially on heavier loam and clay soils. Improvement of the soil structure provides conditions for increasing water retention in soil and reduces soil washed away from the topsoil. The benefit is the reduction of water erosion and protection of the soil fund. Technology can be used in practice to improve basic soil properties and soil protection against water erosion on farmland.
