Brief characteristics of the exhibit
Siemens Sitrans LR560 radar sensor provides reliably, quickly and continuously the data on height and shape of material level in silos from the first moment of the level movement regardless of the shape of the silo bottom, so it immediately records the change even in a silo with conical hopper. Especially for this type of silos the radar measurement ensures reliable and stable measurement in the lower part of the cone, even in the case of complex internal structures. The output data and its further processing enable real-time converting of data to volume or weight of the material.
By using multiple radar sensors on one silo it is possible to monitor the shape of the cone of material being loaded or unloaded. In this case, it is also possible to monitor, check and quantify the weight loss of the stored material during storage. The absence of mechanical parts inside the silo (that are exposed to dust or temperature fluctuations) increases service life, reduces maintenance requirements and thus saves service costs.
