Brief characteristics of the exhibit
The modernized FORTERRA HSX boasts a proven economic 4-cylinder engine by ZETOR with 117 to 136 HP. The machine has received a new ECO gearbox that maintains optimum engine revolutions when working in the field or driving on the road, especially when it reaches a maximum speed of 40 kph at 1,750 rpm. By changing the gear ratios, the tractor can reach its maximum speed at lower revolutions, which can reduce fuel consumption by up to 18%. A total of five speeds in two ranges with the PowerShift 3-stage torque multiplier combined with the PowerShuttle electro-hydraulic reverser bring 30 forward speeds and 30 reverse speeds. The overall safety is improved with more effective brakes with a hydraulic controller. FORTERRA HSX can be equipped with a spring-mounted front axle. The independent suspension of both axle links significantly improves driving comfort. FORTERRA HSX sports a spacious cabin, panoramic rear-view mirrors and a new dashboard with a colour display and redesigned controls.
