Brief characteristics of the exhibit
Kerner X-Cut Solo is a machine designed for the processing of plant residues after harvesting and for the initial processing of biomass crops. Two-row work tools are arranged to provide an intensive crushing effect. This is achieved by a combination of a knife cylinder and cutting discs. The blade cylinder in the front works in the transverse direction, followed by corrugated blades that cut the material in the longitudinal direction. This combination ensures maximum crushing of the material. When processing stubble after the oilseed harvesting, in addition to cutting the stems, there is also a complete disruption of the dropped green pods, thus allowing easier germination of the seeds. The use of the X-Cut Solo thus contributes to the improvement of field hygiene. The Kerner X-Cut Solo is very well suited to farming systems, where the biomass crops are used to improve soil quality, for more water retention during rest periods and for reducing of water erosion.
