International Fair of Agricultural Machinery
Brno SILVA REGINA is a unique event for game keepers and all forest lovers, organised trip participants can enjoy free admission
The agricultural and forestry fairs TECHAGRO, SILVA REGINA, BIOMASS and ANIMAL VETEX take place at the Brno Exhibition Centre every two years and their next edition is knocking on the door – it will be held between 30th March – 3rd April 2014. For gamekeepers and foresters the most important fairs are BIOMASS and, in particular, SILVA REGINA, presenting forest equipment, hunting equipment and clothing and offering a rich supporting programme focusing on game keeping and hunting.
The game keeping section of the SILVA REGINA fair is located in Hall Z, forest technologies will be on display in the outdoor spaces around. Principally all logging technologies will be presented and the visitors can also look forward to practical demonstrations. The same is true about machines showcased at the BIOMASS fair and, throughout the fair, the machines will be presented in operation at regular intervals; each demonstration will be accompanied by a short presentation or a lecture.
The wood-cutting supporting programme includes an exhibition of historic power saws which clearly demonstrate the development of the design of this basic wood-cutting tool. The fair will also offer a hunter’s raised hide constructed by using a storage battery power saw. The hide will be erected nu three people during 2 days. The visitors will also see axe throwing at a target and wood carving. Everyone can shout cheers while watching wood-cutting sports.
SILVA REGINA will also be attended by institutions – for example, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forests of the Czech Republic and universities. This fair provides a comprehensive show of the forestry and game keeping sector in the CR.
The main part of the SILVA REGINA fair will be the game keeping section of the hall. A major part of the hall will be occupied by sellers and exhibitors of all kinds of hunting and game keeping equipment and outdoor gear including weapons. Hall Z will also offer a hunter’s timber lodge and a stage where a programme dedicated to game keeping topics and presenting interesting people will be taking place. Just like in the previous editions, a trophy exhibition will be organised, and the Hall Z gallery will offer a cinema showing films dedicated to hunting.
Traditionally, BVV Trade Fairs Brno offer advantages to visitors’ organised trips. A group of fair visitors (15 and more people) are provided with free admission. This will be provided to each trip participant on submitting filled in registration cards at any ticket office of the exhibition centre.
