Exhibition on Life and Work of Professor Hromas
In Hall Z, where visitors to the SILVA REGINA fair will find all displays relating to gamekeeping, there will also be installed an exhibition titled The Life and Work of Professor Hromas, who is closely related to Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology , Mendel University of Agriculture and Forestry , and is certainly the most outstanding personality of Czechoslovak gamekeeping of the last decades. He became the first ever professor of gamekeeping in Czechoslovakia and for 15 years he served as President of the Czech Gamekeeping Association; from 2006 on, he was honorary chairman of the Czech-Moravian Gamekeeping Union. He also held a number of international functions and won numerous international awards; in 1996 in Cape Town, he received a commemorative medal of the International Council for Gamekeeping and Wildlife Conservation CIC. He is the author of over fifty books and textbooks. This reminder of the large and meritorious work of this extraordinary personality will definitely please not only gamekeepers.
