TECHAGRO 2020 – focus on crop production and conferences
TECHAGRO, SILVA REGINA and BIOMASS fairs will be held at the Brno Exhibition Centre at the turn of March and April 2020. This complex is a leading trade fair event in its field in Central Europe and the Brno Exhibition Centre is expected to be completely sold out again. Last season, 750 exhibitors from 37 countries took part on almost 90,000 square meters of exhibition area; more than 112,000 visitors from 39 countries passed through the expo gates.
Brno's agricultural and forestry fairs will newly be held from Tuesday to Saturday. The preparations for the 2020 season can be valued optimistically as of mid-October 2019; the exhibition grounds are filling up similarly as in previous years. The following editions of TECHAGRO will consistently focus on crop production; animal breeding will be presented at the Brno Exhibition Centre in odd years at the ANIMAL TECH fair.
The agricultural equipment will be located practically all over the exhibition centre; the possibilities of placement inside the halls are extended into Hall G2. As in previous years, specialized halls for post-harvest technology, crop storage, agricultural buildings (A1), seeds, fertilizers, institutions, beekeeping (C), sprayers (B), spare parts, aggregates (B, E) are planned. A new topic will be the presentation of municipal equipment. The GRAND PRIX exhibit competition is also in the pipeline, featuring also the SOIL WATER RETENTION FRIENDLY award for machines and technologies that support water retention in the soil. Trade missions from abroad will also come to TECHAGRO.
Following a good response to last year's conference, a similar event is also scheduled for 2020, this time with a practical focus and, of course, with topics responding to the current agricultural situation, such as drought. The conference will be held on 1 April 2020, organized by Trade Fairs Brno and the Profi Press publishing house. On the first day of TECHAGRO 2020 there will be a meeting of ministers of agriculture of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland. Also for next year, favourable conditions for group visits are envisaged; these groups will have reduced admission fees from Tuesday to Thursday and on Saturday, and free admission on Friday. The best way for individual visitors is to buy tickets on the web, which has been available since the beginning of October.
