URBIS SMART CITY FAIR 2022 will be significantly extended
The URBIS
SMART CITY FAIR of Smart Municipal Solutions will take place from 1 to 3 June
2022. Its standard version is scheduled to take place at the Brno Exhibition
Centre. The event will mainly follow up on conferences and exhibition sections
of previous years, and its significant expansion is also in the pipeline. The
organizers expect two thousand visitors; a social event for exhibitors and
conference participants will take place at the end of the first day.
URBIS SMART CITY FAIR 2022 Conference
On the first and second of June, a conference will take place in Hall E, focusing on the environment in cities and municipalities, digitization, mobility and management. Speakers and topics will be connected with other parts of URBIS SMART CITY FAIR, especially autonomous mobility and presentation of smart projects.
Exhibition part
The exhibition part of the URBIS SMART CITY FAIR will be similar to previous periods, exhibitors with solutions for municipalities and cities will be presented, and it will also be expanded with the presentation of smart projects. A substantial part should consist of suppliers of specific partial solutions in the presented smart projects.
Autonomous mobility
We see autonomous mobility as the basis for tackling the new system of mobility in cities and changes in the transport habits of the population. This part naturally follows on the years 2020 and 2021, when the C-Roads project implementing C-ITS systems was presented at the URBIS SMART CITY FAIR. In 2022, we will try to involve Czech stakeholders participating in running projects focused on autonomous and smart mobility and to link the part dedicated to autonomous mobility with the conference.
Presentation and evaluation of smart projects
A significant novelty of the year 2022 will be the presentation and evaluation of smart projects. We will offer municipalities and cities a standardized presentation of applied and intended smart solutions in municipalities and cities. This part of URBIS will be used primarily to gather information for visitors and to exchange experience between the presenting municipalities. Each of the presented projects will be rated by the URBIS smart index, which will assess the progress of the project in several areas – for example, the degree of digitization, benefit for the community or the environment. The URBIS smart index will set by an international commission. This part of the project will also be significantly connected with the conference; it will be possible to analyze the main trends and directions in which the projects are going.
