Trade Fair for Smart Municipal Solutions

A key challenge for intelligent urban transformation is the integration
of energy and transport transformation with use innovation - both digital and
physical - and sustainable spatial and infrastructural design. We have a unique
opportunity to redevelop our cities as sustainably networked urban systems that
embrace both technological innovation and ecological modernisation. The lecture
will provide a historial introduction to the issue of smart cities, provide an
overview of current smart city technology trends with a specific focus on
integrated energy and transport transformation and intelligent infrastructure
systems, provide case stories and example from different cities as well as
evaluate emerging smart city technologies and services with a view to their
contribution to sustainable cities.
