The pet food factory of Monge & C. S.p.A. in Monasterolo di Savigliano, Italy, is the headquarter of all departments: state-of-art production, quality control, research & development, logistics, marketing and head office. A 377-strong team of professionals, 120 sales representatives and 35 info-veterinarians ensures the highest standard of service.
Monge Breeders Team constantly recruits dedicated professionals who choose our products to feed their dogs and cats. Our team is always available to provide advice and meet the requirements of those who have chosen such an extraordinary profession: bringing up puppies and kittens of all breeds with exceptional care for their health and wellbeing.
Monge history started in 1963 with the launch of manufactured dog and cat pet food by Mr. Baldassarre Monge, the founder of the enterprise. Numerous expansions and technological investments have followed through the years, including an automatic warehouse with 43,000 pallet slots. Monge now has a total area of 180,000 square metres, a production capacity of 160,000 tonnes per year for dry and same for wet products. Our pet food is present in more than 90 countries worldwide.
Monge truly cares about circular economy and operates with the utmost respect for the environment.
The company is determined to minimise the environmental impact in every aspect of its activity to guarantee a cleaner world. Monge strongly believes and invests in renewable energy. Since 2008 it has installed photovoltaic panels on the roofs of the factory, and today 75% of the energy consumed is self-produced thanks to those panels, a Cogenerator and a Kawasaki Gas Turbine.
Monge is producing in-house its empty cans from laminated steel sheets, thus reducing CO2 emissions which would have been caused by road transportation from another location. Further, the company invests in sustainable mobility, equipping its fleet with trucks powered by liquefied natural gas to reduce pollution.
