International Fair for Wood Processing and Furniture Industry
Dřevostroj Čkyně will introduce technological lines at the WOOD-TEC fair
Traditionally, Dřevostroj Čkyně, a.s., the supplier of
all-round technological units for handling, sorting and processing round wood,
sawn wood sorting stations and technologies for waste disposal and sorting will
take part in the WOOD-TEC international fair in Brno in October.
The company equips its advanced wood-processing technologies with high-performance machines of its own design. At this year‘s fair, the company will introduce the double-shaft prism-cutting saw UHPD used to produce prisms. If a saw suspension is used, it can be used to manufacture one or two pieces of central prisms and up to two pieces of side boards in each side. The machine also enables high quality processing of round wood with a maximum diameter of 40 cm (diameter of a circumcircle including the sweep) along a length of 2.5 to 6.0 m. The saw capacity is approx. 30,000 m3 a year making it suitable for medium-size businesses.
At its exhibition stand, Dřevostroj Čkyně will also introduce the automatic edging system AOP designed for automatic longitudinal edging of side cut emphasising high performance and yield at minimum manpower requirements. The wood is fed to the machine via a system of collecting cross chain side cut conveyers and side cut separators. The insertion, set-up, cutting and removal of edged board is automatic, the operator oversees the operation, carries out quality sorting and shortening. The whole equipment is fixed to a load-bearing steel structure, under the equipment there are conveyors collecting and removing waste. The main operations carried out by the automatic edging system include sawn wood sorting before edging (removal of defected pieces), sawing off potential defects at the far end of the sawn wood, sawn wood edging – defect removal at the near end, reducing the sawn wood width, processing of measured data– optimising etc.
The company will also present a single-shaft rip and edging saw ORP for longitudinal ripping and its multi-functional version for ripping and edging, with the maximum cut height of 120/160 mm.
The exhibition stand will also showcase new projects implemented this year.
The joint-stock company Dřevostroj Čkyně, a.s. is a company with many years of tradition. Its history dates back to 1951, when the plant repairing agricultural machinery owned by the nationalised company Bublík in Čkyně became a part of the state-owned enterprise Šumavské pily with its head office in Písek and from 1981, the plant had a status of a machine repair plant of Jihočeské dřevařské závody n.p. České Budějovice. A year later, Dřevostroj Čkyně was established and the company became a joint-stock company during the privatisation process in 1992.
