LEITZ adapts to trends– economical production and small orders
LEITZ - nástroje s.r.o. will introduce a number of innovations that will premiere in the Czech Republic at the WOOD-TEC fair. Its exhibition stand will focus on tools for CNC contour milling centres, in particular for the application in the manufacture of furniture pieces.
„We focus on the tool series Edge Expert and WhisperCut for the working of edges in a high quality. These tools feature the fixing of blades at the angle of 55° and controlled exhaust of chips from the machining point. We will also introduce panel sizing sawblade VectorCut with a revolutionary geometry and tooth shape, coated profiling knives ProfilCut-Marathon, whose double service life compared to the present knives can reduce the knife consumption for the window manufacturers working with Leitz tools to half. Timber-frame house manufacturers will be offered the HeliCut cutterhead allowing the production of timber-frame structures in the furniture quality,“ says the executive for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, ing. Petr Husenica.

Leitz-nástroje s.r.o. is a daughter company of the concern LEITZ – manufacturer of tools and tool systems for mechanical chip machining of wood, wood-based materials, plastics and nonferrous materials. In the Czech Republic we provide sale and servicing (tool grinding) in our branch offices in Prague, Brno, Prachatice and Hradec Králové. „To us, the participation at WOOD-TEC is about a quality and respectable presentation of our products and services to Czech and Slovak customers. Our target is to approach customers who look for comprehensive solutions to increase the quality and efficiency of their production processes in the field of machining,“ says Husenica. He adds that the financial crisis has resulted in the fact that the customers shift from high-volume technologies to flexible ones that allow for efficient production of even small orders in terms of quantities with various modifications. This trend must also be followed by the design of the tools that currently make it possible to apply the profile-splitting method to various profiles and to machine various types of materials.
