WOODWORKING MACHINERY MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION
WOODWORKING MACHINERY MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION was established in 1991 as the outcome of the effort to promote the joint requirements of wood-working machines and equipment manufacturers with respect to public authorities and to encourage the development of business and production opportunities.
It associates Czech firms, currently there are 15, and the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology of Mendel University in Brno. The production range of these firms includes machinery for small and medium size joinery workshops, as well as deliveries for large technological plants. Based on the technologies, the associated firms are able to deliver the technological equipment ranging from forestry and sawmill production, driers, to machines for windows, doors and other joinery products manufacturers, as well as mechanical equipment for furniture making and wood waste processing.
What is essential in terms of prestige and practical importance is the cooperation with the European Federation EUMABOIS that our SVDSZ Association is a member of.
The priorities of SVDSZ include the organisation of exhibitions and fairs abroad as well as in the Czech Republic. These are implemented at more favourable terms in close cooperation with the European Federation EUMABOIS, which joins 14 national associations representing over 800 wood-working machine manufacturers holding 56% share of the global wood-working machines production.
