Furniture Day filled the WOOD-TEC Arena all day long
On 2 November, WOOD-TEC exhibitors’ displays were full of visitors. The accompanying programme filled the WOOD-TEC Arena right from its opening at ten o'clock. The subject of the introductory discussion was the shortage of FSC wood for the Czech furniture-making industry, which brought representatives of the largest Czech furniture-making companies and professional associations in furniture manufacturing on the stage.
The lecture of Petr Brunecký, a forensic expert on furniture, raised a lot of interest and presented specific cases of dispute solving and shortcomings in furniture production. The main point of the programme was outsourcing for small and medium-sized furniture manufacturers; the auditorium was fully occupied mainly by tradesmen who decide on changes in the organization of production in their firms. A large group of Thai furniture manufacturers also arrived at WOOD-TEC today. On the first and second of November, many Slovak visitors also appeared at the Brno Exhibition Centre.
