Intelligent sawdust extraction control - the SMARTeye system will be presented at the WOOD-TEC trade fair by GreMi KLIMA CZ.  „If you install intelligent automatic SMARTeye dampers in your duct run, extraction in your manufacturing plant will work automatically and cut the electricity demands of your fans to the minimum,“ says David Kraviec, director of the Třinec branch of GreMi KLIMA CZ.

The SMARTeye system switches itself on when needed, switches itself off, sets the speed of the extraction fan, safely opens and closes the motorised dampers.  It delivers intelligent reaction to the switching on and off of any connected extraction machinery, changes in the production load and other control parameters. The control system can be connected to the fire alarm system and in the event of fire the relevant part or the entire extraction system closes down.  The application of the SMARTeye system may reduce energy consumption by up to 59 per cent. It is based on intelligent dampers and control of the extraction fan via a frequency converter which controls the input frequency of the fan.  Sensitive frequency adjustment can thus significantly reduce the energy demands of the extraction system. A relief damper is installed at the end of the duct run which cleans the duct run and prevents from clogging. The motorised damper reacts precisely to clogging caused by an impact on an obstacle if a larger piece is extracted and thus prevents from unnecessary loading of the mechanism.
