International Fair for Wood Processing and Furniture Industry
WOOD-TEC 2013 with a new subtitle
The wood-processing fair WOOOD-TEC, which will take place at the Brno Exhibition Centre between 22nd – 25th October has a new subtitle – International Fair for Wood and Furniture Industry.
This name also captures the entire professional portfolio of the specialist WOOD-TEC fair in a better and more concise way, and the name highlights not only the wood-processing but also the furniture industry, a traditional and integral part of the fair. „Furniture industry has been present at the WOOD-TEC fairs since the very beginning and more and more exhibitors engaged in this field take part in the fair. Therefore, we have decided to highlight this industry also in the fair name. This new subtitle will be understandable for the exhibitors, as well as for visitors from amongst professionals working in the furniture industry and intending to visit the fair,“ explains Mr. Miloň Mlčák, manager of the WOOD-TEC fair. „Furniture industry presents itself at the fair by, for example, the furniture fittings nomenclature, locks and joining elements, upholstery machines and tools etc. The complete list of industries can be found by the exhibitors and visitors at our website,“ adds Miloň Mlčák.
Over its existence, the WOOD-TEC fair has established a very strong position amongst wood processing trade fairs in the Czech Republic, as well as abroad, and a number of exhibitors and visitors find it of crucial importance. Its prestigious position is also proved by the support of the European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers - EUMABOIS –whose member federations consider this fair as one of the most important fairs in the wood processing industry. „It is important that we maintain this position. We strive for continuous improvement and improved quality of services we provide to the exhibitors and visitors, we expand and innovate the fair promotion and try to establish cooperation with countries that our clients are interested in. For example, we currently cooperate on the preparation of business missions from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia,“ says Miloň Mlčák. In the past, the fair was visited by an organised mission of foreign journalists from Germany, Austria, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Croatia. We also plan to repeat this event with the fair organisers and expand the cooperation.
The preparation of this year’s edition is in full swing, the exhibitors still have a chance to use the discounted prices of the exhibition space hire if they send in their registration by 31st May. The fair will take place in the most modern part of the Brno Exhibition Centre in Halls P and F and adjacent outdoor spaces. A part of the hall spaces has already been reserved and more and more exhibitors register. „The exhibitors attending WOOD-TEC in 2011 have largely reserved their exhibition spaces by now. Contrary to the established practice in last years‘ edition, a number of firms and companies have registered as of today (22nd March),“ says Miloň Mlčák. As regards domestic companies, the visitors can look forward to the presentations of ABIRON, FORMAT, Blum, CZECH KÖNIG, EFB, Ether CZ, GreMi KLIMA CZ, INTEA SERVICE, JEŘÁBEK – stroje, LINAK C&S, SEKAR, SEMACZ, Simpson Strong-Tie, ŠPINAR – software, UNIVERSUM, VYDONA and many others.
