WOOD-TEC 2015 - effective place for your presentation
How do you view now the last edition of WOOD-TEC taking place two years ago?
The WOOD-TEC 2013 fair reflected the situation in these fields such as wood-processing, construction and furniture making industries. When holding discussions with our exhibitors we noticed a positive outlook for the future. A clear signal is that all large companies and traditional exhibitors, established stakeholders and well-known brands in the market present themselves at WOOD-TEC. The fair is an important European presentation and the main Czech-Slovak field-specific event.
The 2013 fair statistics indicate that the fair was not attended by a lower number of exhibitors but they used a smaller area for presentation, is that true?
Yes, generally speaking one might say so. The reason was the persisting uncertainty in this sector lasting several years and resulting in restricted funds that the firms could allocate to the trade fair presentation, which do not only include the exhibition space rent, but also other related activities. This includes stand construction, registration fees, accommodation, transport, in this case the shipment of exhibits (machines) which greatly increases the costs of participation. The firms are thus forced to consider very carefully how many and what machines to present. Naturally, this is a restricting criterion for many of them.
And what about WOOD-TEC 2015? What is new?
When we made an evaluation of the 2013 fair with our key partners and exhibitors, we jointly defined a clear conception concerning the content, motivation conditions for the exhibitors‘ participation and the trade fair campaign setup. This year we have changed our pricing policy and set up new pricing parameters with respect to the exhibition space rent and packages– “turn-key participation“. Naturally, we offer the traditional discounted exhibition space rates for binding registrations sent in by 31st May 2015. The traditional trade fair campaign will now focus more strongly on the Czech-Slovak market, which is based on the modified conception.
I believe that the exhibitors will appreciate this change. What are the other things they look forward to?
For this year’s WOOD-TEC edition we have prepared a new presentation- informative project – for the exhibitors and visitors called WOOD-TEC ARENA. This is a brand new platform giving room to the exhibitors to present new products and services. It will be used to present innovations and changes concerning the business environment and the sector as such. Last but not least, the project will work as a meeting point and a press centre. This is where the trade fair opening ceremony will take place, along with a supporting programme in the form of lectures, conferences and press conferences. The award ceremony for the TOP EXHIBIT competition for the best product and service presented at the fair will be held here along with a number of other activities. It should serve as a kind of an “action zone“ of the entire fair made available to the exhibitors.
What are the plans for this year’s edition in terms of the number of exhibitors and the exhibition space rent?
This year, over 400 firms and represented brands should be presented here. As regards the space, we think that we will succeed also thanks to the announced return of a number of companies and motivating pricing conditions, and that we will reach over 8,00m2 of rented exhibition space. Currently, everything goes to show that these targets will be met.
