International Fair for Wood Processing and Furniture Industry
WOOD-TEC 2015 reports increased demand from companies to be presented
Between Tuesday, 20th to Friday 23rd October, the Brno Exhibition Centre will host the traditional international wood-processing and furniture making industry fair, WOOD-TEC, which has become a leading trade fair event in the field of wood processing in Central and Eastern Europe and has established itself as a unique professional platform for professionals in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. WOOD-TEC was established in 1994 by separating the sector of wood processing technologies from the International Engineering Fair. Since 1999, it has been sponsored by the European association EUMABOIS and has become part of the group of leading global industry-related presentations taking place every two years. In 2015, the 14th edition of this important trade fair will be held.
WOOD-TEC has been included in the calendar of the European association EUMABOIS – a leading entity in the field of the global wood processing technology market. This professional association joins 13 national associations with a thousand leading global manufacturers ensuring over 60% of the global wood-processing industry production.
According to EUMABOIS, this fair is rated as one of the leading events in the wood-processing industry. „The sponsorship granted by EUMABOIS commits us to strict observance of the fair trade organisation standards. High demands are placed on the event preparation and organisation as well as its topics and crucial themes. Special emphasis is placed on the high professional standard of the fair and invited professionals and experts. The EUMABOIS sponsorship means that WOOD-TEC gains prestigious recognition but it also guarantees high quality and professionalism. WOOD-TEC is the only event of such kind in the Czech and Slovak Republics,“ says Ing. Miloň Mlčák, trade fair manager.
Major global brands and domestic manufacturers have already registered. What about you?
WOOD-TEC is an opportunity for firms engaged in this sector to present new technologies, machinery, tools and products for the wood-processing and furniture industries, to meet professionals in the field, to discuss and look for solutions to current topics and it approaches a broad target group of visitors from the Central European region. It is regularly attended by over 15,000 professionals coming mainly from the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
„As this is a strictly professional fair, as part of the media campaign we cooperate with professional publishers not only in the Czech Republic but also in Slovakia. As regards international media partners we concentrate on neighbouring countries, mainly Germany, Austria and Poland. This year we plan to organise a special programme for journalists coming not only from these countries, but also from Russia and Belorussia as part of the project of incoming missions supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the CR“, adds Miloň Mlčák.
This year, WOOD-TEC will be held in the most modern part of the Brno exhibition centre. WOOD-TEC ARENA = heart of the new supporting programme
The WOOD-TEC fair will present a new form of the specialist supporting programme which will be substantially innovated this year in order to streamline the presentation of the individual exhibitors and to make the trade fair visit attractive for professional visitors. The main innovation is WOOD-TEC Arena. „This is a brand new platform where room will be given to trade associations and educational institutions to present new projects, and to discuss and handle current topics. The exhibitors can present new products and services in a new interactive form. It will be used to present innovations and changes concerning the business environment and the sector as such and, last but not least, it will offer the opportunity for informal meetings“, says Miloň Mlčák.
WOOD-TEC Arena will also offer a meeting point and press centre. This is where the gala opening of the fair will take place along with the specialist supporting programme in the form of lectures and conferences. As part of the new contest TOP EXPONÁT for the best product or service presented at the fair, the contest winners will be announced and a number of activities will be organised here. “WOOD-TEC Arena will become the heart of the supporting programme throughout the fair and will be fully available to the exhibitors as well as visitors,“ adds Miloň Mlčák.
