Assembly of the Agrarian Chamber met at the Exhibition Centre; the Prime Minister and two ministers arrived as well
170 delegates of district and regional chambers met in Hall G2 to evaluate the activities of the Agrarian Chamber of the Czech Republic and the development of Czech agriculture in the past year. Farmers appreciated the fact that three high-ranking government officials attended the Assembly for the first time ever.
Agricultural fairs in Brno are a traditional venue for the meeting of the supreme body of the Agrarian Chamber of the Czech Republic. Among the guests of the XXVII assembly, there were Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, Minister of Finance Alena Schillerová, Minister of Agriculture Miroslav Toman, MP Jaroslav Faltýnek and other important personalities. The participants pointed out that this was the first time that the farmers' meeting welcomed such high-ranking guests, who then stayed for the entire meeting.
Members of the Agrarian Chamber of the Czech Republic provide almost three quarters of domestic agricultural produce. The organization brings together 2,759 members, including 2,365 farming organizations, among which there are 1,211 private farmers. Its members work on nearly 1.7 million hectares of agricultural land and 1.3 million hectares of forest land.
