Fair of renewable energy sources in agriculture and forestry
Preparations for agricultural and forestry fairs 2022 well under way
TECHAGRO, SILVA REGINA and BIOMASA will take place at the Brno Exhibition Center from 3rd to 7th April 2022.
BIOMASS will be held in 2022, ANIMAL TECH will be postponed to September 2021
Due to the ongoing unfavourable epidemic situation and government measures that do not allow the holding of a full-feature expo event, and hence the persisting uncertainty about further development, the management of Trade Fairs Brno agreed with partner sectoral associations to cancel the TECHAGRO, SILVA REGINA and BIOMASS 2021 fairs and hold them from 3 to 7 April 2022. ANIMAL TECH and the National Show of Livestock will be postponed to 5-8 September 2021.
The Brno agriculture and forestry fairs will focus on trade in times of climate change
From 31 March to 4 April, the TECHAGRO International Fair of Agricultural Technology SILVA REGINA International Forestry and Hunting Fair and BIOMASS Trade Fair for Renewable Sources of Energy in Agriculture and Forestry will take place at the Brno Exhibition Centre (Czech Republic). This complex is one of the three largest fairs of its kind in Europe, with over 700 exhibitors presenting themselves on almost 90 thousand square meters, and it is attended by more than 110 thousand visitors. The 2020 expo will completely fill the Brno Exhibition Centre and the supporting programme will be expanded compared to previous years. Both the exhibition stands and the supporting programme combine the topic of sustainable management in times of climate change.
BIOMASS is growing
BIOMASS will be located in Hall Z and its surroundings in 2020, most of the exhibits will be related to the energy use of wood, visitors will also find equipment for the use of agricultural biomass and technology for biogas stations. Among the exhibitors of crushers and wood chippers there are companies such as Mouder, Biber, Eko Bandit, Karlow Karlshof, boilers for biomass combustion will be exhibited, among others, by Petrojet, Kovarson, Biomac, Atmos, Dufa kamna or Dřevo-Produkt. In the field of biogas plant technology, visitors will find companies such as EnviTec, agriKomp Bohemia or Schaumann. Exhibitors' applications keep coming in, interest in the BIOMASS trade fair is growing every year.
Agricultural and forestry technology for sustainable farming and forest stewardship at the largest fair in Central Europe
The TECHAGRO International Fair of Agricultural Technology, along with the SILVA REGINA International Forestry and Hunting Fair and the BIOMASS Trade Fair of Renewable Sources of Energy in Agriculture and Forestry took place at the Brno Exhibition Centre from 8 to 12 April 2018. All these fairs put together were attended by 724 companies from 37 countries on an area of 87,000 square meters – hence, the Brno Exhibition Centre was completely sold out. Over the five days, the Brno Exhibition Centre was visited by more than 110 thousand visitors.
BIOMASS trade fair with professional sideline programme
The 4th season of the trade fair for renewable sources of energy in agriculture and forestry has entered its third day. More than fifty companies located in Hall Z and adjacent open areas deal with their business partners and represent their range of products that mainly include machines and equipment for the treatment, processing and production of biomass, but also for the production of pellets and briquettes from biomass, transportation, handling and storage of biofuels or biogas production.
Opening address by Minister of Agriculture Jiří Milek
A complex of agricultural and forestry fairs was ceremonially opened in the Rotunda of Hall A. Minister of Agriculture Jiří Milek on this occasion delivered a speech about the importance of the agriculture and forestry sector for the Czech economy and about the role of the Brno trade fairs.
GRAND PRIX TECHAGRO, SILVA REGINA, BIOMASS 2018
A record-breaking number of 91 exhibits fought this year for the GRAND PRIX Awards of the Techagro, Biomass and Silva Regina fairs. An eighteen-member jury, headed by its chairman Jiří Mašek, the Dean of the Czech University of Agriculture in Prague, eventually selected 17 of them. Prizes and plaques were handed over at the ceremonial evening together with the Minister of Agriculture Jiří Milek, and with Jiří Kuliš, CEO and Chairman of the Board of the company Trade Fairs Brno.
Make full use of wood mass
Together with the TECHAGRO and SILVA REGINA trade fairs, the BIOMASS fair was also launched, which specializes in the energy use of renewable resources. Most of its displays are focused on the use of wood mass as well as on of technologies for the utilization of waste from livestock production. The area of firewood processing is also represented. Exhibitors will also present boilers or technologies for the production of pellets; technologies for biogas stations are not missing either.
BIOMASA – energy use of renewable sources
From 8 to 12 April 2018, the next edition of the BIOMASS Trade Fair for Renewable Sources of Energy in Agriculture and Forestry will take place at the Brno Exhibition Centre. It will be held concurrently with the SILVA REGINA International Forestry and Hunting Fair and the TECHAGRO International Fair of Agricultural Technology. The entire complex of agricultural and forestry fairs in Brno is one of the largest events of its kind in Europe.
